39 Weeks....and I'm AT THE HOSPITAL!!!

We went to the Dr. on Monday and had another ultrasound...everything looked great. When she checked me, I was 1 cm dilated and 70% effaced...so a little progress. I told them again that unless there is a medical concern, we want little Sally to come on her own time.

We also went to the Dr. today (Friday). Baby Sally was still measuring a little smaller than they would like and they recommended induction tomorrow morning. They told us to go home, pack our bags, get a light dinner, and come to the hospital around 8. They have started the Cervidl and now its just a waiting game. They will start Pitocin early in the morning. Obviously I am a mixture of emotions....so excited to meet her but nervous something may be wrong. They said that their gut tells them everything is alright but this is just to make sure. Ya'll know that I DID NOT want to be induced and I certainly did not plan on having a baby tomorrow...but it is what it is and I am trying to just go with it...pretty hard for a Type A like myself.

*How far along?: 39 weeks 1 day.
*How big is your baby?: still a large watermelon! ...weighing about 6 pounds
*Total weight gain?: 33 pounds total
*Sex: GIRL!!!
*Maternity clothes: I am tried of wearing the same few outfits....ready to rock some sundresses this spring!
*Stretch marks: 2 claw marks on each side near my belly button...they are not too bad though.....ugh!
*Movement: She is OUT of room so whenever she moves I can feel it a lot. She likes to movie at night and seems to be on a schedule.
*Sleep: no bueno....I wake up when I need to go to the bathroom and then my mind starts racing and thinking about all the things on my never ending to-do list. This morning I woke up at 4:00 am!!!
*Best moment this week: a little progress was made at the doctor's appointment!
*Food cravings: tangerines, cranberry raspberry juice, mexican
*Labor signs: period like cramp every now and then, no sleep!!
*Belly button in or out: still in....
*What I miss: my feet, being able to shave without getting out of breath, and sleep!
*What I'm looking forward to: baby girl's arrival of course...I can't believe that it is almost time!

I am not feeling too well...stuffy nose, sore throat, coughing, etc. I hope I am not getting strep throat! This week has been crazy busy! I am filled with a mixture of emotions knowing that baby girl can come at any time.

Anxious: My hospital bag was not finished and I feel like I had a long to-do list planned for the weekend that will not be happening now.
Nervous: Not knowing what to expect from labor....is something wrong??
Excited: I cannot wait to see Sally's sweet face!
Sad: I think I will miss her kicks and movements.
Curious: I want to see how Joe and I do with this whole "parenting" thing.

Don't worry, missy! Everything is just fine, I'm sure of it. If they thought it wasn't, you would have already had an emergency c-section. Best wishes for the labor and delivery! I can't wait to see pictures of your baby girl!
