Nursery Craftiness

I have been thinking a lot about different projects that I want to do in the nursery.

First up...the walls. We will need something over the crib and also over the changing table. Here are some things that I am loving:

*Lots of colorful picture frames clustered together

*I also like the look of the different prints in the white frames. I think they will look really pretty up against the aqua walls.

Next we have the mobile over the crib.

*I have no idea why these are underlined....oh well.....I like these mobiles and think they would be easy to make myself.

I know we are doing a chandelier. I have always envisioned my little girl having a chandelier in her nursery.

This is a made over $39 dollar IKEA Chandelier....not bad.
Here it is in the silver it comes in. I will be picking one of these up at IKEA when we go for Thanksgiving. I also like that old picture frame that is painted...Joe likes it too. I am sure it will make an appearance somewhere in the room.

I plan on making some of these cute clothespins to use with the old picture frame. We plan to attch some wire and hang pictures from the clothespins.

We have a space JUST like this in the nursery....between the closet and the door. I would love to do something like this.
or this

I like this...letters on different papers/fabric and then put into a bright frame.
Cute lamp....I am going to look for an old one that I can spray paint white at the thrift shop.

Love the fabric covered wipe box....
I know I want to make some closet dividers. I know I can get these in Minnesota at Crate and Barrel. Then, I can cover them with cute paper.

I can also get these wooden door hangers at HobLob and make them soon.
Joe and I both LOVE this look....an old vintage frame painted a bright color and then a "S" in the middle for Sally.

My MIL is pretty crafty, so I am going to try and convince her to make some pillows like this for the chair.

Pink Makes EVERYTHING Better :)

Today I did a last minute special project. I found the cutest ironing board cover at Tuesday morning today and make a decision that I NEEDED a pink ironing board. So...one can of spray paint later...voila! Pink makes everything better and it makes me want to iron...almost :)

All You Need Is LOVE!!

When Joe and I were in Savannah a few weeks ago, we ran across the cutest store, @home vintage general. They were having a sale and had all kinds of treasures. One of our favorite things they had were all of these old game pieces. We dug through the bins until we spelled out what we wanted. We were trying to figure out what to make and this is what we came up with. I'm thinking about painting the frame black. I just think it might looks a little better black. What do you think?

Demolition Night

Here is my "pink bathroom".....although its cute and vintage, Joe and I have been wanting to update it for a few years. After getting some expensive quotes, Joe decided that he could do the demo himself. We had my dad and brother over for dinner one night and the boys decided that they wanted to bust all of the tile up. What a MESS!!
