Day 17 {Favorite Picture of Myself}

Today's topic is "a favorite picture of myself". This is one of my favorites. It was a self portrait taken on our honeymoon in Greece. We were in Mykonos one night after dinner and we were sitting on the steps of a building. I love the white building behind us, our tans, the blue sky and how I am looking lovingly at Joe :) I felt so beautiful!

Day 6

What I Do

How much time do you have?? I kid, I kid...but I do several things.

First and foremost, I am a wife and mother. Those are the most rewarding things in my life. Being a wife and feeling loved and needed are so important to me. I cannot imagine not having this in my life. Being a mom is something that I always wanted and I feel so grateful and blessed that God has given me the opportunity to be Sally's mom.

I am also a Kindergarten teacher. I have been teaching in the same school for nine years and love it. Having my days filled with songs and art and learning is very fun!

I am a baker. I own a special order cupcake business called Monkey Bread Bakery. Baking a hobby that turned into a side job. I love creating pretty things that people can eat. 

I am a travel agent. This is my newest side job. I love all the planning that goes into travel so I decided to start helping people. My passion is Disney World but I can also do all-inclusives, cruises, etc.....just about anything! Here is my new blog for that. It's a work in progress :)

The Thing I'm Most Afraid Of

My worst fear is loosing someone that I care about. After loosing my mom to cancer a few years ago, I saw how difficult this can be. Every day is easier but its still a struggle. My fear now is loosing Joe or Sally. I cannot imagine the pain involved with loosing a child.

Sally is going to be 15 months old soon and I STILL haven't posted 13-14 month updates...oh well...

Day 1

My Life Story in 250 Words

I'm Sarah...born and raised in a suburb of Memphis, TN. I'm in my early thirties (although I feel like I am 25!) and I am a wife, mother, and sister. I had close a close to perfect childhood. My parents loved each other and we all ate together as a family every night. We lived in the same house for my whole life (except when I went away to college). My dad still lives in the house...which is comforting and sad at the same time. The best memories from growing up involve summer camp, taking walks with my friends, playing in the backyard and working lots of jobs. I cared too much about what people thought in high school and totally came out of my shell in college where I had the most amazing time and met some of my best friends. I am a proud ZTA alum!! After a series of failed relationships, I met my hubby off of Match.com. We hit it off right away and we were engaged 6 months later, married a year after that (we have been married for almost 7 years now). The worst time came a few years later when my mother died of cancer. Fast forward a few more years and I became a mother...the most important job in my life. I love to travel, craft, antique and cook/bake. I am enjoying life and never take a day for granted! I am a teacher, a baker (Monkey Bread Bakery) and a Travel Agent for Gateway to Magic. Life is good!

Day 2

Something I Am Good At

Ever since I was little, I have had a fascination with parties....especially the goody bags. I called them "sacks" and would wonder where they were at every party until the birthday child's mom passed them out. As you can imagine, when it was my birthday, my good bags had to be amazing. Fast forward several years and here I am still loving the planning and throwing of parties. All the little details excite me. I tend to go all out and love it every single step of the way!! 

Day 3

Things That Make Me Uncomfortable

-Being in the back of a van or that little buggy thing that takes you to the top of the St. Louis arch. I wouldn't say I'm claustrophobic but certain situations make me uneasy!

-I do not like when I feel like people are talking bad about me (who does!?)
-People who yell or hit their kids in public...it's REALLY hard for me to nit step in!

-The sad, sad, videos of animals on TV (In the arms of an angel....no!!!)

-Talking in front of groups of people. I can talk in front of twenty 5 year olds everyday with no problem...but give me adults and I freak out!!

Valentine's Day Challenge-Outfits

I didn't link up yesterday because I don't really have any "bad date" stories. Today's topic is Valentine's Day Outfits. Joe and I usually just spend the day together doing something fun like going to the zoo, a day trip, etc. We normally go out to a nice dinner at night. Let's pretend for a moment that I am not pregnant...here are some dresses/outfits that I would love to wear to a fancy dinner. Notice I don't go for the traditional red??

I'm not a huge sports fan, but I do love U of Memphis basketball and I like the Minnesota Vikings to support my hubby.

The beach!! Any beach will do :)

Disney World for sure!!! I have been to both and Disney World is soooo much better! I have been 7 times. You can read about some of our Disney trips here.

OPI's Bubble Bath....it's my signature color...the ONLY thing that I will wear on my fingers. It's very sheer and simple.

7. Have you ever broken a bone? Which one(s)?

I broke my finger and arm when I was little.

Neither....I am stuck in the stone age with my free Samsung flip phone...and I like it that way :)

Probably either Blogger or Pinterest.

Burts Bees. I have been using it for years :)
