Five On Friday

Happy Friday!! Get ready for a random assortment of updates!

I snagged this beauty from a local resale site for just $25. Having on old church pew in my house has been on the list of wants for a while. It started out light colored and 9 feet long. My handy hubby cut it down, sanded it and stained it. Im trying to find some pillows to add to it but I love it!!

The weather has been gorgeous here and I am trying to soak up every last minute with my sweet girl while she is still the only child. She is excited to be a big sister but in all honesty, her world is about to be rocked so I want quality time with her.

We went strawberry picking.

We painted a fairy house.

We have just been enjoying the weather and our beautiful yard. She loves playing in her playhouse, jumping on the trampoline and playing on her "magic trail" with her fairy garden.

She loves her friends Sophie and Caroline and they got pet chickens so she thinks that is pretty cool. 

{four}

Last Friday was especially hard in the Moske house. After having our dog, Hank, for 14 years, we had to put him to sleep. It was one of the hardest decisions we have ever had to make but we know if it was the right one. Aside from being old (15 years old!) and a big boy (95 lbs), he was having a lot of trouble getting around. His back legs had been giving out and on Thursday he snagged his toenail on something and totally ripped it off. We knew this day was coming for a few months but after that injury, he was unable to walk at all. 

Poor thing was miserable :( We just couldn't bear to watch him suffer. He had a mobile vet come to the house and do it and with a belly full of cheeseburgers, he took his last breath listening to the Beatles. We had him cremated and Joe is going to build a bit for his ashes. After loosing my mother, its probably the hardest thing we have ever been through. Pets truly are part of the family and he was our first child. The house feels very empty without him...

We got to see our sweet boy this week. I am 36 weeks!! I can't believe that he will be here soon. This pregnancy has truly gone by super fast!

We're Off To See The Wizard!!

A few weeks ago my dad and I took Sally downtown to see The Wizard of Oz at The Orpheum (a historic theatre here in Memphis). Joe was supposed to come too but he ended up having to work. I knew I was going to take her a few months ago so of course I had to order her a special dress to where. This one came from etsy from BabyChiquesBoutique and it is the cutest Dorothy dress I have seen. Its so well made too. I ordered Sally's Alice in Wonderland dress from this same shop. I got the "ruby slippers" from Target and the toto in a basket was left over from way back when when I dressed like Dorothy one year for Halloween after Joe and I first got married (he was a flying monkey!!).

Sally was so excited to get dressed. I told her we were going to the big girl movies ;)

Once we got to the Orpheum, they had a little station set up where you could add a brick with your name on it to their "yellow brick road". 

Sally did so well at the movie. The whole audience hissed whenever the witch came on the screen and she loved doing it too.

I love making these special memories with my girl ;)

Let's Play Catch Up

The past few weeks have been so busy and honestly I have just enjoyed a little break from blogging but now its time to play catch up and fill you in on our lives. 

We have had a few trips to the mall with our cousins. 

Mommy has been shopping!!

We have spent many afternoons at the pool and splash pad. 

A few trips to the Childrens Museum.

Story time at the library.

We went to see Horton Hears a Who with our cousins. 

Several trips to the park!

We finished up with our summer gymnastics class. 

We have enjoyed fresh flowers every week :)

We have been enjoying our playhouse!

We love hanging with our sweet friends too! 

Its been a BUSY few weeks. I can't believe we are halfway through July!

Five On Friday

I leave for my AEP Disney trip a week from today. I am so very  excited!!

I mist admit I am a little nervous to leave Sally for 6 days but I know she and Joe will have a blast!

We had a great 4th of July. Joe was on a trip out of town but we started the day off with homage waffles with berries. 

We headed to my uncles for a pool party and had a blast!!

Sally did a sparkler for the first time. I was a nervous wreck...especially when she almost touched it to her face!

Sally has been a little sass pot lately. Im trying to find the right balance between ignoring and discipline.

Have y'all been to Target lately?! So many cute things!!

We did a fairy inspired photo shoot this week at Overton Park. It was the perfect setting!! I love the sneak peaks so far!

I feel slightly ashamed that I haven't blogged about our summer plans each week. I had good intentions. I just decided I would rather not spend time those weeks writing it all out. Ill be back soon with a full recap and then we will hopefully get back on track.

Summer Adventures: Week 4

Last week was super fun! 

We did the cutest pages for Ee and Ff for our alphabet book. 

Mommy and Daddy celebrated their 9th anniversary so I got a fun babysitter.

We also went to the Pink Palace!

We traveled to Jackson, MS and spent the day there waiting for Sally's new cousin to be born. 

Someone was exhausted! We didn't get home until 1:30am!

Mommy and Daddy went to Atlanta for the weekend and Sally had the best time hanging with our sweet friends. She didn't want to come home!
