Leavin' On a Jet Plane

I am headed to Minnesota today...yay! My weekend trip has turned into a 5 day trip...missing 2 days of school...woo-woo!! First class here I come...

In addition to having another Thanksgiving with Joe's family, we are going to go skating in downtown St. Paul. I LOVE ice skating and, living in Memphis, I do not get to do it enough.

Hopefully we will get to do some shopping in Uptown (Minneapolis). It's hip and has a lot of cute stores.

Speaking of cute stores, this is one of my favorites!! Patina is so fun and had everything from gnome toilet paper to cute earrings. It is a must stop on every trip!

We are going to see a play at The Guthrie...Joe has talked about this place and it sounds right up my alley.

Since I will still be in Minnesota on Monday (when everyone else has to go back to work) I told Peggy she can just give me the car...I got plans yo! I have been wanting to go to the Aveda Institute for awhile now. It's a school, so it's cheap and good!

I also plan to hit up the Mall of America and IKEA.

New Moon

Joe and I went to see New Moon last weekend with Lindsey and Nick. The boys went to the Fox and Hound to watch the Vikings game while Lindsey and I shopped...perfect! We met up to see New Moon and then everyone cam over to eat chili. I LOVED the movie!! I am still "Team Edward" though... Joe pointed out that Bella was WAY more attractive in this movie than in Twilight and Edward was way less attractive...thoughts? I thought he looked too pale and his lips were too red.

Happy Turkey Day!

Happy Happy Turkey Day! Joe had to work, but I spent the day baking, cleaning, and packing. I woke up and watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and then went to my uncles for some delicious eating!! I have so much to be thankful for this year! God has blessed me so much :)

On My Bucket List...

Ever since I can remember, I have looked forward to getting up on Thanksgiving morning and watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I love the floats and silly banter back and forth with the news people. I hope to one day get to see it in person...add that to my "Bucket List".

Vampin' It Up!

Joe and I are total dorks and have both read all of the Twilight books. We decided to have a party to celebrate the movie "New Moon", which came out this past weekend. We tried to invite people who had actually read the books. Unfortunately, we had fewer guests show up than we had hoped...oh well, we still had a blast!

I made special favors of red vines in bags with blood types on them.

I found some neat New Moon candy at Halloween and had that sitting out.

I printed out lots of movie quotes and pictures and put them in frames around the house.

My life size Edward was a big hit. We had fun posing with him. He was super scary though. I would walk into the room and almost jump out of my skin...he looked so real....like someone was in the house.
