25 Things about me :)

1. I used to talk to Justin Timberlake on the phone regularly in 8th grade

2. met my hubby on Match.com...he is the best man I have ever know

3. I am so much like my mom...it's not even funny

4. I love animals and hate people who hurt them oh, and I
do not kill bugs. If there is one in my house, I put it outside. They are God's creatures too!

5. I never drank in high school for fear of my life!!

6. I name all of my cars, the squirrels in my yard, the vacuum cleaner, etc.

7. I once tried out for The Bachelor at an open casting call.....haha!!

8. I go to target at least 2 times a week.

9. I have a hard time relaxing...I have to be busy doing something or I feel lazy!

10. I love organizing anything...closets, drawers....other peoples closets and drawers....

11. I love to sing and dance to Britney Spears when I am home alone.

12. I love bring with my girlfriends and look forward to Girls Weekends!!

13. Some of the best memories of growing up are the skating rink ( I used to go every Friday night in middle school) and being a camper/counselor at Pinecrest.

14. I have always wanted to be in a Broadway musical....on Broadway!

15. I am that “crazy recycling person”. I stuff beer bottles into my purse at restaurants because I know they wont recycle them.


16. It doesn't get much better than fresh baguette and fruit.

17. I make up at least one song about my dog daily...he is my child.

18. My favorite place to visit is Mykonos, Greece and I would love to live there one day.

19. I believe in all things supernatural....ghosts, angels, Bigfoot, etc........SERIOUSLY!! And.... Joe and I have a little girl ghost that lives in our attic....but she is nice :)

20. Watching my mom take her last breath was the most spiritual thing that has ever happened to me. It was scary but so amazing to see her return to God.

21. I love to go and wander around a Fresh Market and wish I could do all of my shopping there.

22. My dad is the smartest man I know and I admire his strength.

23. My brother is one of my best friends.

24. I have very strong opinions and I am not afraid to talk about them...for example: I feel birth control should be necessary for anyone on welfare/food stamps!

25. I have always wanted to live in NYC and Joe and I will get to this summer for the month of July....so excited!! Life is too short to watch opportunities pass you by.

Thailand...Here I Come!!

I am soooo exited to be going to Thailand for Spring Break in March. I think this is by far the most adventurous thing I have EVER done. One of our good friends, "Little Joe", will be there for the whole month of March. I have 9 days off from school and with Joe's nifty airline discount, I thought "Why not?!". I will be leaving on March 14. I am not sure if Joe is coming. It will all depend on his schedule. I cannot wait to pet tigers, ride elephants, play with monkeys, get massages every day, and just relax on the beautiful beaches.

Busy Weekend!!

Lucky for me, Joe was out of town this weekend...because I was BUSY!! I made a green, blue, and yellow cupcake tower for and adorable little boy's 2nd birthday party. I finally got around to using the awesome cupcake liners that a friend is designing. Let me know what you think.


I also made cupcakes for a friend who was hosting a baby shower.

Black and White Wedding Party

This is a black and white cupcake tower that I made for a couple who eloped in Nashville. They wanted to have a party to celebrate with friends and family and needed a cupcake tower...that's where I come in! I like the little black and white flowers.

Southern Design Studio

Look! Our WONDERFUL wedding photographer, Sara Beth, put us in her blog! She is amazing to work with and takes the most beautiful pictures. I highly recommend her. MinneSNOWta!!

Joe and I left a few days after Christmas for the land of ice and snow...MINNESOTA!! We spent 5 days trying to stay warm and had a wonderful time. We visited the "cherry and spoon" at the Minneapolis Sculpture Gardens and visited several beautiful church's in downtown St. Paul and Minneapolis. We drove "up north" to spend New Year's at Joe's brothers cabin. I played Wii for the first time and was pretty good :) We also got to skate on an outdoor rink. It was FREEZING!! I enjoyed playing on the hamburger phone I found at one of my favorite stores in St. Paul, "Patina". It is the phone form the movie, Juno, which was supposed to take place in Minnesota.

New Year...New Adventures!

2008 was a busy year for Joe and I. We went through one of the hardest things that a couple will go through and we made it! We know if we can survive that, we can get through anything. I hope this blog will be a good way for friends and family to keep up with us....we are always on the move!! Here is a little update as to what has been going on. Joe is still flying for Great Lakes Airlines and upgraded to Captain in the fall. He is officially "Captain Pookie". He works a lot but still enjoys his job. He is ready to be flying the big purple tails....a.k.a FedEx. I am still teaching Kindergarten in Germantown and love it. My cupcake business that I started last year has really taken off and I am just as busy as I can be while still working full-time. Our dog, Hank, is just as naughty as ever. If have seen "Marley and Me", well, that's Hank! We are excited for all of our upcoming adventures and life and look forward to sharing them with you in 2009!
