Twenty-Twelve Resolutions

Today is the last day of the year. Tomorrow it will be 2012 and you know what that means....resolutions. 2011 was a year of changes....for me and for those around me. I know that 2012 is going to be a year of adventures and new beginnings and I can't wait to see what happens.

1. Do a better job tackling my little piles that accumulate around the house.

2. Get down to my pre-baby weight (and then some!).

3. Let go of the "little things".

4. Be the best mommy/wife/friend/daughter/sister that I can be.

5. Get every room in my house organized...including the attic.

6. Save as many dogs as I can.

7. Cook at least 4 times a week.

8. Learn how to sew.

9. Be more silly....don't take everything so seriously.

10. Have more drinks :)

What is on your list for 2012?

Fill In The Blank Friday

1. New Years is a great reason for a fresh start.

2. One of my New Year's resolutions will be to lose this pregnancy weight! I was currently in the process of trying to loose some weight through WW when I got pregnant...so once I get the go-ahead from the Dr. after little miss Sally is born, I will start back with that and start hitting up the gym again.

3. A New Year's resolution I've made in the past was to get pregnant...and that happened...yay!

4. The most time consuming resolution I ever made was to workout 4 times a week.

5. This year I will be spending New Year's Eve going to dinner with Joe, Lindsey and Nick and playing games back at the house.

6. If I could wish one thing for my new year it would be to be a good mommy.

7. 2012 is going to be filled with new adventures .

Happy Birthday Soul Sista!

Sister...today is your 30th birthday and you are spending it on an island....you know how to do it up right. I should be with you though....just saying.

2011 has definitely been a year of ups and downs for us, but we can get through anything.

Although you aren't really my real sister, you are my soul sister.
Who would have thought that our friendship would grow so much in the last 12 years....yes, 12 years....crazy huh?

I knew we would be best friends for life after I met you....Scottie was right. You were going to be my little sister and my best friend.

We're on a BOAT!!

We always have fun together....whether it's wearing sunglasses at weddings,

being silly in Cooper Hall in college,
dressing up for Halloween....on the way to the club (haha),

sneaking into the Real World mansion in New Orleans,

snorkeling with sting rays in the Cayman Islands,

watching movies,

partying at Carlos and Charlies in Mexico,

posing all fancy like,

painting our faces orange and dressing up like Jersey Shore,

and just being FABULOUS!

You are my favorite shopping partner

and we would make the ultimate "power couple"....bahaha!!

Here's to being 30....let's make it the best year of our lives!!
And here's to the next 30 years of friendship!
Happy Birthday Kristy!
I love you!!

Nursery Projects

Here is a sneak peak at Sally's new closet. The middle part is from IKEA. We picked it up when we were in Minnesota for Thanksgiving. I bought the polka dot bins at Target last year, and the circle green tins at Hobby Lobby. It is still super messy, but I love going in an organizing it.
I also worked on another project. I bought thank you notes from Target and decided to cover the empty boxes with scrapbook paper. I thought these boxes would be great to use in the drawers as dividers, holders, etc. I wanted to show you what box I used and also the finished product. I love reusing things.

Thoughtful Thursday!!

Attention Memphis Girls...Great Groupon Deal TODAY!!

There is a great deal on Groupon today for all my Memphis girls....spray tans at Esthetiques. I bought a package last year and it came in handy for special events/trips/etc. I have already bought a 3 pack today and cannot wait to use it this spring and summer. The great thing about these spray tans is that its actually a real person spraying you...not some strange booth that you go into. Yes, it was strange standing there practically naked in front of someone else, but I quickly got over it when I saw how great I looked. Go ahead and treat yourself today!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I am linking up with Jamie today for "What I'm Loving Wednesday".

{one}
It is going to be a great week for TV. The Bachelor starts on Monday and I cannot wait for my Monday night dates watching it with Lindsey.

Jersey Shore starts this week too...woo-hoo! Let the craziness begin!

{two}
Juno
I never get tired of this movie.

{three}
I have officially begun "nesting". I have cleaned out the junk drawer and all the cabinets in the kitchen. Today i will do bathroom closets.

{four}
Baby Sally has been SUPER active lately. Last night she woke me up at 3:30. I swear little miss was doing flips in there. I actually got concerned at one point that she must be in distress since she was moving so much. I got my laptop out and googled. Apparently a lot of movement at this stage is a good thing. Whew!

{five}
My fancy Bonne Maman raspberry preserves. So yummy on a croissant.

{six}
I am loving these Pinterest finds.

What are you loving this week? Link up and show us!

Diaper Bag

Here is it...my diaper bag!! It is by timi and leslie and available here on Amazon.com.

I love that it looks like a cute purse, but it is also a diaper bag. I can't wait to carry it.

Speaking of that....to all of you moms out there, what do I need to put in it? I found this list but I'm wondering how necessary these things are. Any advice would be great!

___ Diapers: Take more than you think you'll need, as many as one for every hour of your outing. Better safe than sorry!

___ Small box or travel pack of wipes: These aren't just for baby, but for your hands, too.

___ A tube of barrier cream or diaper-rash cream

___ Several cloth diapers or other cloths for burping, spit-up, and other messes

___ An extra shirt, pants, and pair of socks for baby

___ An extra shirt for you

___ Baby sunblock

___ Baby's bottle, if she uses one -- to keep things sanitary, you might put the nipple in a plastic bag

___ At least one toy

___ A favorite comfort object

___ If baby is on solids, a container of baby food and a baby spoon, or else a container of snacks, such as cereal or crackers

___ A bib

___ Two extra pacifiers (if baby uses them) stored in a clean plastic bag

___ A cell phone for emergencies

___ An index card with your name, address, and phone number, should the bag get lost

___ An index card with the pediatrician's number, a neighbor's number, and a number where your spouse or one of baby's grandparents can be reached

___ A changing pad -- many diaper bags come with one

___ A few large plastic bags for sealing and tossing dirty diapers, or taking home soiled clothes

___ Water and a snack for you

And yes, it all fits inside!

Christmas 2011

We had a wonderful and pretty relaxing Christmas. On Christmas Eve, we went to 4 pm service. It was the family friendly Christmas pageant and was an eye opener....so many kids and so much noise. Wow.... I'm sure that is the service we will be going to from now on with Baby Sally. After church we headed over to my Aunt's for her annual Christmas Eve get together. We do not do big gifts over there...just a friendly game of "Dirty Santa" but with good presents. Joe came home with a case of beer and I ended up with some candle holders from Bella Vita...pretty nice!
