Easter Recap

I know I am over a week late, but I wanted to share the recap of our Easter weekend.

First off, I wanted to show you the little treats I made for Sally's teachers at school.

I also wanted to share the Easter decorations I had up around the house. They made everything so springy...It makes me sad to take them down but it's time to decorate for summer!

My in-laws drove down from Minnesota and we had such a fun weekend with them. We ate lots of yummy food and worked in the yard for 2 days straight. We all got some much needed sun on our faces and shoulders. Here are some pictures of our yard.

On Saturday night I made the yummiest cake for our Easter lunch. It was a simple white cake layered with fresh strawberries and homemade whipped cream..delish!

The Easter bunny came and on Sunday morning, Sally had so much fun digging into her basket.

We went to a beautiful service at church....had to take some pictures before though.

After church we stopped for doughnuts at Gibson's. We brought them home and ate them on the patio.

All of my family came over and we had a delicious lunch and then an Easter hunt for the littles outside. The weather was just perfect!

The girls looked so cute in their Easter dresses!!

All in all it was such a great weekend celebrated with family :)

Five On Friday

{one}
I was able to snag this yellow swim suit for Sally. I got it in a size 3T since I already have 15 swimsuits for this year (gasp!). "Hi my name is Sarah and I am addicted to toddler swimsuits."

{two}
This has been a trying week for me...Sally has been not feeling well, Joe was out of town and I am just exhausted....thinking positive thoughts!

{three}
We have some fun Easter things planned for the weekend. My in laws decided to come in town last minute and Sally has been having fun playing with grandma.

{four}
I am so ready for the beach...I can almost taste it!! Shrimp for dinner, fruit drinks and sand between my toes...bring it!!

{five}
So apparently, the Royals are headed to Memphis the weekend of May 3. The grand daughter of Holiday Inn founders is getting married to a friend of William and Harry. It should be a crazy weekend. Anyone interested in a little stalking mission? I would love to see them in real life! Read all about it here.

Sally's Easter Basket and Some Easter Festivities :)

Today I am linking up with Darci over at The Good Life Blog for the 2nd Annual Easter Basket Blog Hop!

Here is Sally's basket this year! Of course the basket is from Etsy. I bought it before she was born and I plan to use it year after year.
I have been collecting things for the past few months.

Here is what I have:

Chick and Rabbit Eggs-Target
Flower Sprinker-Lowe's
Sunglasses-Target $1 Spot
Chalk Holder/Chalk-Target $1 Spot
Carrot Bubbles-Dollar Tree

See Sally's past Ester baskets here and here.

Last weekend we went to two Easter Egg Hunts in one day...it was super fun and by the end of the day, Sally was so tired!!

Here are some pictures. The first egg hunt was put on by my MOPS group. They had  face painting and a girl dressed up like a Frozen princess. Sally wanted nothing to do with either. She was ready to fill her bucket with eggs!!

My little bunny!

Enjoying some chocolate :)

After that egg hunt we wet home and rested and then changed clothes and went to another one at a local church/school. Some of the kids were scared of the bunny. In their defense, he was kinda scary. Sally was not scared of all...she just walked right up and tried to talk to him.

They had ages 3 and under in a special section but the eggs went FAST!! I think Sally ended up with about 10 eggs.

They also had some farm animals/petting zoo. Sally was in heaven! She and Anniston were going around petting all of the animals and just having so much fun! They even had a baby kangaroo...it was so cute!!

Sally loved this bunny!
