Weekend Wrap Up

We had a wonderful and fun filled weekend. On Friday I did some Easter decorating. Here is the entry hall table.

I also went to Spin class with these lovely ladies.

Friday night we had a date night. We went to the shooting range. I'm pretty sure this was the first time I have shot a gun. We tried to go a few years ago and I pretty much was too scared and cried the whole time. I was super scared but did a great job.

Turns out I am actually a pretty good shot. Of course I wanted to shoot a zombie so I could pretend I was on The Walking Dead :)

After dinner we went to one of our favorite spots for dinner, Side Porch Steak House. It was super yummy as always.

Saturday morning we made pancakes...elephant pancakes to be exact.

Then we took Sally to a local Easter Egg Hunt. I wasn't much of a "hunt", but she had fun collecting eggs and putting them in her bucket. can you believe it was snowing?!  We were freezing. After the hunt we looked at the petting zoo and took a picture with the bunny.

On Saturday night we had a family date night. First we went to dinner at and then we went to the Orpheum to see Disney in Concert. It was fabulous and our little Cinderellas had the best time!!

Weekend Wrap-Up!

We had a great and fun filled weekend. On Friday night, my brother and his wife came in town and stayed with us. I made dinner for everyone! I set the table using my "summer" chargers from Pottery Barn.

I also filled my wooden box with fresh cut hydrangeas from our yard.

For dinner I made baked shrimp scampi from Barefoot Contessa, salad and french bread.

For dessert, I baked the sinfully delicious turtle cake from Cafe Latte.

On saturday morning Michelle and I headed downtown to the Farmers Market with Miss Sally. I got flowers and tortilla chips from las delicias!

I came home and put my flowers ($3) in an antique blue mason jar....it's the little things that make me so happy!

On Saturday night we all headed back downtown to run the Gibson Guitar 5K. It was so frickin HOT!!!

Happy Weekend!

Woo-hoo! This week has been one for the books. We had standardized testing here in Kindergarten and it was stressful! To say I am ready for the weekend is a bit of an understatement. It's going to be a busy one!
Here is what we have going on:

Friday: I have a bunch of cupcakes to make and the Grizzlies game is on...not sure where we are watching it yet.

Saturday: Deliver the cupcakes, a family birthday party, and an early Cinco de Mayo dinner with friends at Las Delicias.

Sunday: My 5K that I have been training for...yay!! Here is hoping for sunshine and a good time!

Do you have any fun plans this weekend?

Weekend Wrap Up

We were all under the weather this weekend at Casa del Moske so our weekend was very low key.

We met some friends for a yummy dinner on Friday night at Las Delicias (the BEST Mexican in Memphis!). I crashed early and had the chills all night....not cool!

On Saturday we did some things around the house, got a Redbox and a pizza and called it a night.
On Sunday we slept in, made breakfast and once again hung around the house. Joe worked on the bench in the mudroom.

I painted the chairs for the kitchen table.

I made Cashew Chicken for dinner (yum!!) and we watched another Redbox....so scary!! Why do I do this to myself??!!

Weekend Wrap Up

Happy Tuesday everyone!! We had a wonderful weekend.

*On Friday we went to pick out our granite slab for the kitchen and then got dinner at Mellow Mushroom. Later we came home and put Sally to bed and then cleaned the den. We watched a movie and went to bed pretty early. I'm shocked at how tired I am on Friday nights. Teaching all week wears me out and it doesn't help that it gets dark at like 4:30. I have never been a big sleeper....but this daylight savings time makes me want to get into bed early every night!

*On Saturday we got up and started putting up the Christmas tree, garland, and all the fun decorations. I had wanted to put everything after Thanksgiving but we had a layer of dust covering everything due to the kitchen renovation. It makes me so happy to finally have most things in place. We put everything up when Sally was taking her morning nap, so when she woke up we showed her all the decorations. She was in awe of all the lights and colors. Joe and I had a fancy party to go to on Saturday night so we got dressed up (and forgot to take pictures!!) and Sally had a babysitter.

*On Sunday we were lazy in the morning and then Joe went to watch the Vikings play and Sally and I went to Target to get stocking stuffers.

Our kitchen is slowly coming together. I cannot wait to post pictures when it is all done. Christmas decorations pictures coming soon!!

Weekend Wrap-up

We had a super busy, but fun weekend!
On Friday we had some friends over for dinner. I made some yummy food and we all sat around the table with the babies and ate and talked....it was fun!

Here is my table scape.

I never got a picture of us or the food...but here are the babies as we are eating.

On Saturday, we got up and had a pool day with Lindsey and Nick. It was Sally's first time at the pool and I think she liked it. After about an hour playing in the water, she was ready to take a nap. Our sun tent came in handy!

On Saturday night, Joe and I did the Gibson 5K with Meredith and Ryan. I pushed Sally. After the race, we went for pizza at a little place downtown called Ferraro's. It was very yummy!

Sunday was our anniversary. We woke up and went to church and then stopped for lunch at Popeye's....we love their spicy chicken tenders.

Later we went to Golfsmith. I got Joe new golf clubs and a bag for an anniversary gift and I needed him to pick them out. He got me a great new camera lens...love it! We also hit up a few open houses. It's pretty much our favorite Sunday afternoon activity. To celebrate our anniversary, we had a date night and went to eat at our favorite Thai restaurant, Bhan Thai, while Katelyn babysat Sally.

All in all, it was a wonderful weekend!! I love SUMMER!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

This is over a week late....but I wanted to share anyway.

Thursday
On Thursday, Joe and I did the "Zoom Through The Zoo" 5K race. Joe came in first place for his age group! I was so proud!! I was proud of myself too. I pushed Baby Sally for 4 miles while run/walking.

Our little family after the race

Joe's family came to meet up with us after the race.

Friends!!
After the race, we walked over the Levitt Shell to attend a free concert.

Friday
On Friday night we left Sally with her first "real" (paid) babysitter so that we could go to Zoo Brew. She did great and we had a wonderful time! First we went to dinner with everyone at Las Delicias :)

Saturday
On Saturday I waited for Kristy to get into town. We ran some errands, ate lunch at Las Delicias (can you tell I'm obsessed?!) and then everyone went to the Redbirds game downtown. This was Sally's first Redbirds game and she did great. She really liked to watch the screen.

Sunday
Sunday morning, we had Sally's Christening at church and then a party at our house to celebrate in the afternoon. Here are the pictures.

My baby girl in her beautiful Christening gown.

And here is when I showed her herself in the mirror....seriously....so cute!

We took a lot of pictures before and after the service.
