Go Here: September Nail Salon

Last weekend I was in serious need of some time alone. Joe was cleaning out the garage and it was a prime time to get away. I headed to the nearby September Nail Salon. I had heard the buzz about this place on Facebook and it did not disappoint.

September Nail Salon is located near Saddle Creek in Germantown. It's in the same shopping area as El Porton, More Than Words and Garibaldi's.

When I walked in, I was immediately greeted (which was nice). I told them I was here for a pedicure and had an appt. They do accept walk ins but this place is so good, I would make a appointment to make sure you get in.

The girl told had me fill out a new customer sheet. It has a place for referrals, so if you go, please put my name down. We will each get $5 off!! I love that they have a loyalty and referral program!

After filling out the form, I got to choose my color and then I sat in the comfy chair and started reading a magazine.

The girl then offered me a drink...they have water, soft drinks and WINE!! Of course I got the wine...and felt relaxed almost instantly :)

This is a picture of the waiting area. I only waited like 2 minutes and then they were ready for me.

Here is another shot of the manicure stations.

The pedicure chairs...massaging chairs I may add...so comfy!

 I had signed up for the Ultimate Pedicure. Here is a description:

Ultimate Pedicure | $54

The Best Pedicure in Town!

We will perform our signature Essentials Pedicure followed by a clay mask, paraffin treatment and massage! This pedicure is true pampering for your feet!
The clay mask, warm towels, paraffin treatment and massage were what set this pedicure apart from others. They were fantastic touches!! The massage lasted way longer than it does at my old nail place. I literally wanted to close my eyes and fall asleep...seriously...so relaxing! I was also impressed that the owner of the salon came over to personally greet me and thank me for coming in. Everyone in the salon was just so friendly.

I also love that September Nail Salon does NOT reuse any of their nail kits. That means you always get a fresh buffer, nail file, and pedi scrubber. Cleanliness is very important to them.

Me enjoying my paraffin treatment :)

My pretty nails...the color is Cajun Shrimp by OPI. Now I just need a tan :)

Another thing I love about this salon is that they are always running specials and having fun events. They just celebrated their birthday with cupcakes and champagne. Love it!

Check out September Nail Salon here and make sure you tell them that Sarah Moske sent you ;) This was seriously the best pedicure I have ever had.

5 on Friday

Happy Friday Ladies! The sun is shining here in Memphis. It's cold but I think we are going for a walk when Sally wakes up from her nap. Joe comes home tomorrow from a work trip and we have plans to eat mexican with friends...yay!

{one}
Joe commented that the mantle was looking bare so I threw this togeher with stuff from around the house. Can you tell I am ready for the beach?! I really want to start decorating for Easter. Is it too early??

{two}
If you havent been to the Target $1 section, get there soon. There are some really cute things right now but I have noticed some Targets are pretty picked over. I managed to get 2 blue mason like jars, scrapbook letters, cute file folders and thank you cards, mini clothespins, and a sidewalk chalk holder (for Sally's Easter basket).

{three}
I broke down and ordered Sally a suitcase this week. I kept going back on forth on whether I should get the small or large size suitcase. I ended up getting the large. I was excited because I paid for it with gift cards too...yay!

{four}
I finally convinced Joe that Sally needed organizers in her closet...or maybe he was convinced by seeing piles of toys everywhere? Either way, I am excited! Here is the progress so far. We are stuck here since he is out of town but hopefully it will be finished in the next week. I cant wait to organize it!

{five}
Sally went to the dentist for the first time this week. She did great and I was so impressed with everyone who worked there.

We didn't do a full cleaning. This visit was more about her meeting  everyone and seeing everything. She did like it when they sprayed water in her mouth though!

Have a great weekend...get out and do something fun!!

Spring Cuteness at Walmart

I'm a Target girl by nature...but sometimes I do need to run into Walmart for stuff. I was in there yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by the cuteness! Here are some pictures.

Love these simple white baskets with polka dot ribbon. They remind me of something from Pottery Barn.

These letters and small chalkboard tags were to tie on to baskets, but I'm thinking I would use them another way.

They had a lot of cute and cheap easter basket stuffers.

I loved these ceramic bunny egg holders.

These chevron plates/napkins would be perfect for a spring party or Easter brunch!

Lots of cute little gardening tools.

One of these aqua binders came home with me. I couldn't resist!

These dresses were really cute. Too bad they didn't have Sally's size!

Get there early for the best selection!

Go Here: Pyro's Pizza

Last week Joe and I decided to check out the East Memphis location of Pyro's Pizza. It's located on Ridgeway right next to Stash and behind PF Changs. I had heard people talk about it and was very excited to check it out for myself. It was pretty busy when we got there.

Pyro's is a pretty simple concept...choose a pizza or salad, choose your sauces and then choose your toppings. An 11 inch pizza is $8.30. Joe and I each got our own.

Pyro's also offers t-shirts :)

There are some specialty pizzas and salads but we decided to build our own.

You walk up to the guys and tell them what kind of sauce, cheese and toppings you want. The best part? no matter how many you get, the price is still the same. LOVE that!

Pyro's has all types of seating available...booths, tables and even seating at a bar.

The pizzas take about 5 minutes to cook...so we sat down and waited for them to come out of the oven.

We arent big soda drinkers, but Pyro's has the coolest soda machine. You can pick all sorts of interesting combos. It was so fun!

I chose a simple pepperoni

and Joe got a spicy sauce pepperoni and sausage pizza.

The pizza was sooo good! The crust was thin and crispy and the cheese and toppings were so yummy!

Pyro's also offers beer and wine at a small bar...they even have a tv so you can watch the game.

I checked out the bathrooms and on my way saw a meeting room...great for business lunches!

The bathrooms were super clean and they had a changing table...yes!!

I think Pyro's would make a really fun date night but it is also very kid friendly!

Pyro's just opened a second location in Midtown on Union Ave.

Both locations are open Sundays from 8 a.m. – 9 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 10 p.m., Fridays from 7 a.m. – 10
p.m., and Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Go there:
