We had a very nice weekend! It all started on Friday when Joan (a co-worker) brought us some goodies. Her hubby works for a BIG named company and every year he goes to a conference and brings back all kinds of sample for us. Look at my loot...yay!! I LOVE some free stuff!
On Friday I came home to a clean house :) and then later that night we ventured downtown with some friends. We ate dinner at The Flying Fish. Have you ever been? It was my second time and it was so yummy!
One of the fun things about The Flying Fish is all the singing fish on the walls. I think they have a deal where if you being one of the fish to hang on the walls, you get a free dinner or something.
Joe decided that he needed a margarita! We split a fried shrimp basket with fries and hushpuppies.
After dinner we walked over to Redbirds stadium to watch a baseball game.

On Saturday night we went to my sweet friend, Laurie's wedding. The reception was at The Tower Room.....34 floors in the air....it was such a great view! Everything about the wedding and reception was beautiful. "Mustang Sally" came on at the reception and I knew my mom was there in spirit. Laurie and I became friends through our parents (they worked together). When Laurie's dad passed away he made her promise to watch over me and my mom. So when the song came on...I knew my mom and Laurie's dad were there out on the dance floor :)
