After Baby Body

After watching what I have eaten my whole life, I throughly enjoyed being pregnant. It was nice to take a few months off from the gym and to not feel bad about eating chocolate. Not gonna lie though....I am ready to get back on the bandwagon. It just feels weird not to be in kickboxing class or on the elliptical machine. Although I didn't gain too much weight (according to the Dr.), I hit that number that I NEVER wanted to hit.

It doesn't matter though...I have a plan of attack:

I am breastfeeding as much as possible so I am hoping that will help with calorie burning. I will also be taking Sally on a lot of walks.

Once I get the go-ahead from the Dr. at my six week check up, I will be starting Weight Watchers and heading back to the gym.

Does anyone have any advice for me as I get ready to try and get my before-baby body back?

Hello Lovelies! Happy Saturday! I am tired today but up and running. Sally had a hard time sleeping today. Joe left this morning for a day trip to Key West...he is flying someone in the airplane. Sally and I are having out, catching up on the DVR, and have a trip to Target planned for later this afternoon. One of my oldest friends, Mollie, is stopping by for a visit in a little bit. On another note, I have reached 300 followers and I have an awesome giveaway planned....as soon as I get my new computer in. Sally is 2 weeks old today and I will not be able to do her 2 week old post since I do not have my computer. I will have to post it when the computer comes in....can you tell that I am READY for the computer to come in?! I hope ya'll have a wonderful weekend!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!!

My work decided that they needed to take my mac away from me and I about had a panic attack. I NEED my computer!! Lucky for me, Joe flew two trips this week and said we could use the money to buy a refurbished mac for me....yay!! It ships out next week. I am so excited to have one of my own now! I am also super thankful to have a husband who is so easy going.

I got the new PB Kids Catalog....pretty sure Miss Sally needs the pink and green striped beach bag with her name and a seahorse on it. Luckily, I have a gift card.

I ordered Miss Sally some cute headbands from Etsy and they came in. Her head is still too tiny to wear them, but with the way she is growing, it shouldn't be long until she can.

Possible Last Weekend Before Baby?

I wrote this post on Thursday night last week....little did I know that God had other weekend plans for us...ha!

Woo-hoo! It's Friday. This week has been sooo busy! My interim (the lady who will be taking over once I go out on maternity leave) came to observe my class yesterday had a medical emergency in my room...it was insane. I am happy to report that she is all better but it shook me up pretty badly. I am so happy that I got to talk to one of my oldest friends, Abby, on the phone last night. She lives in South Korea and while it was almost 8 pm here, it was 10:15 in the morning there and she was ironing clothes. I love that there is a number for me to call her on now :) I also love the fact that if I encounter problems with the baby in the middle of the night, she will be awake and I can call her and ask questions :)

So...this is probably the last weekend we have before Baby Sally joins us...crazy!

I still feel like there is a lot to do to prepare. Here is what is on my list of "to-do's":

Friday:

-post office

-dr.'s visit

-finish packing hospital bag and put in the truck

-clean out fridge

Saturday:

-target run

-1/2 price sale at a local kids consignment sale

Sunday:

-grocery store

-finish up thank you cards

Joe's Birthday

We celebrated Joe's 33rd birthday in a low key style. We met up with friends at Central BBQ for yummy dinner and then came back to the house to eat brownies and play games.

Sally-One Week

Sally: Week One

What a difference a week makes! My body is slowly going back to its pre-pregnancy shape. I have already lost 20 pounds and I hope that it will continue!

Loves: Eating, her swing, snuggling with mommy and daddy in the bed, the process of being burped, car rides, being swaddled, when mommy and daddy sing to her.

Eating: My milk came in a few days ago and it has been a bumpy start. You are just starting to get the hang of breastfeeding. Mommy and Daddy were worried that you weren't getting enough so I started pumping and we supplemented with formula...which makes me sad. The most important thing is for you to get the nutrients that your sweet little body needs. Now we are on a schedule....still trying to breastfeed as much as I can, pumping when I can, and using formula as needed. Hopefully we can get to strictly breastfeeding soon.

Sleeping: You are sleeping very well. You normally wake up 2-3 times a night to get changed and eat. You are a good little sleeper. We love snuggling you in the bed next to us when we wake up in the morning.

Fun Facts: We have already been to the Dr. 2 times for your jaundice....it is a very mild case and doesn't seem to be worrying the Dr., but Mommy and Daddy were worried. Your bilirubin levels are down and we go for a check up on Monday.

Mommy Moments: I can do a lot of things while holding a baby, I cried when we brought you home to the house (I was just so happy), Mommy gets a little "mama bear" when someone else does something with you that she doesn't like.

Firsts: You went to the Dr. 2 times, you pooped and peed on Mommy and Daddy at your newborn photo shoot, you went on your first trip to Jackson, TN, Hank kissed you on the mouth, first snuggles from a Granna and Poppy.

Carol Hannah Turns 1

A few weeks ago we celebrated Carol Hannah's first birthday. It seems like just yesterday she was a newborn like Baby Sally. It has been so much fun to watch her grow up. I cannot wait until she and Sally can play together. Oh lord, these two are going to get into a lot of mischief!

Meredith did such a great job on the party....so many cute little projects. I was making notes in my head of all the fabulous ideas she had for when it's Sally's first birthday.
