___ Diapers: Take more than you think you'll need, as many as one for every hour of your outing. Better safe than sorry!
___ Small box or travel pack of wipes: These aren't just for baby, but for your hands, too.
___ A tube of barrier cream or diaper-rash cream
___ Several cloth diapers or other cloths for burping, spit-up, and other messes
___ An extra shirt, pants, and pair of socks for baby
___ An extra shirt for you
___ Baby sunblock
___ Baby's bottle, if she uses one -- to keep things sanitary, you might put the nipple in a plastic bag
___ At least one toy
___ A favorite comfort object
___ If baby is on solids, a container of baby food and a baby spoon, or else a container of snacks, such as cereal or crackers
___ A bib
___ Two extra pacifiers (if baby uses them) stored in a clean plastic bag
___ A cell phone for emergencies
___ An index card with your name, address, and phone number, should the bag get lost
___ An index card with the pediatrician's number, a neighbor's number, and a number where your spouse or one of baby's grandparents can be reached
___ A changing pad -- many diaper bags come with one
___ A few large plastic bags for sealing and tossing dirty diapers, or taking home soiled clothes
___ Water and a snack for you
And yes, it all fits inside!

i'm not a mommy but i just had to say that, that is one fabulous diaper bag! LOVE it ... i'd totally wear that now, haha.
Yay! Love it!
I always would carry diapers, wipes, extra clothes for baby, and a couple of the cloth diapers for feeding/spit-up time. My kids were formula fed so I always had a cool little container from Target that you can put pre-measured formula into so you don't have to lug around the can...plus a couple of bottles. Having plastic bags is a good idea...I know a girl who had a neat little roll (also from baby section at Target)of bags she carried. Probably not necessary for a newborn, but when they get a little older and are making the big messes, you'll probably be glad you have it. I had a changing pad in my bag which I used if I was somewhere not gross (like a friend's house) but if I was having to change at the mall, I had disposable changing pads (or if you know anyone in the dental industry you can get the bibs they put around you when they're cleaning your teeth)b/c I didn't want to put that nasty pad back in with clean clothes. :)
My diaper bag when Logan was a newborn was much more full than it is now. Now I just need diapers, wipes, a change of clothes, sippy cup, and a snack. I would definitely say that some of the items on your list are not necessary, but you will figure that out as you go along! Definitely take hand sanitizer, and I always take "Wet Ones" for a variety of things. The first being that public changing tables are scary!
I ended up having to carry all sorts of medicine around with me. (Being a pharmacist I like to stay prepared:) Ha!) Anniston was gassy so I carried Mylicon, Gripe Water, and infant Tylenol (just in case). She was also on prescription Ranitidine for her acid reflux. You end up having to carry an assortment of droppers for each different med. I bought a "Medi Bag" off of Etsy- cute little pouch to carry around medicines and such. Has a clear platic outer cover in case something leaks. I LOVE it! You can order it in different fabrics too. It keeps all my medicines/droppers in one place so I'm always prepared.
I keep a bag with extra items (but not necessarily things that I want to lug into every store and restaurant) in a bag in the trunk. For example, an extra outfit for me, another extra outfit for baby (my daughter was a spitter, so we always needed more than one outfit), extra wipes, etc. Even a full-sized towel.
What a pretty diaper bag. Love it.
Diapers, wipes, burp clothes, an extra outfit for sure, changing pad, diaper cream, bottle and formula (if you are breast feeding probably not necessary unless of an emergency, if you are, they have handy formula despensers that are awesome!), a receiving blanket and just use it as your purse too! :) cute bag!
What a cute diaper bag!! And sorry I'm of no help on the necessities...
