Sally 13-14 Months

Im such a bad mama...life got in the way and somehow I managed to get behind on my monthly updates. I have decided that it will be easier to group them into one and then I can get right back on
 track.


Sweet Baby Girl-
You have been so busy these last few months. You are always on the go! When people ask me how old you are, I keep saying you are a year old. It's hard to believe that you are 14 months old!! You are super curious about the world around you and like to get into EVERYTHING!! You are very spunky and have quite the little personality...a little sassy when you don't get your way but also very independent.

You have learned how to shake your head "no" and whenever you do it, you laugh at yourself like its the funniest thing ever. You are still not walking...but have to be the fastest crawler this side of the Mason-Dixon. You pull up on everything and walk around the furniture. You also do this thing where you walk on your knees....kinda weird but it gets you to where you need to be.

  You aren't talking too much but you do say:
mama
dada
uh-oh
yay!
bah-bah (bottle)
what's that?
I got it!

 You are wearing size 3 diaper and moved into size 4. You weight right at 19 pounds...still a little peanut but a very healthy girl!

You are sleeping well. You go to bed around 7:30 and wake up around 7:00 the next morning.  You are down to one nap a day.

 You are a good little shopper. I love to take you to run errands. You sit in the cart like a little lady and wave and squeal at everyone.

You went to your first Easter Egg hunt. It was cold and the ground was wet but you did great. You did not want to put your eggs in the bucket though. You just wanted to hold them in your hands.

 A picture of you meeting the Easter bunny was in the local paper. Such a celebrity!

We celebrated your 2nd Easter. You liked your basket a lot!

You have been eating a lot lately.

This is what you are eating on most days:

Breakfast: Toast with jelly or peanut butter/waffle/cereal bar and usually some sort of fruit

Lunch: Grilled cheese, fruit and veggies

Dinner: Lucky for us you will usually eat whatever we are eating (chicken fried rice, pasta, chicken and veggies)

Snacks: Nilla wafers, Ritz crackers, Goldfish, yogurt melts

We switched you to whole milk when you were a year old but we had some tummy issues, so I switched you back to formula for a month and then slowly started mixing the too. Everything seems to be going well now but I usually give you some diluted prune juice each day to help you stay regular. You are still not a huge fan of sippy cups but you will tolerate them every once in a while. 

We love to steal snuggles and kisses from you on the couch. We also like getting you in our bed early in the morning and making a "tent" with the sheets. You love it!

You love dancing, talking, reading books, and getting tickles!

You love going to the zoo, on walks and swinging in your swing.

Your favorite things to watch on TV are: Yo Gabba Gabba, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins, Alice in Wonderland (movie) and The Princess and the Frog (movie).

All 4 of your top teeth came in at the same time...poor girl! You were a trooper though!

Your favorite thing is still bath time! You love all of your bath toys and splishing and splashing mommy and daddy. You learned how to make monkey noises too. So now when we ask you, "What does the monkey say?", you go "ah, ah, ah". It's the cutest thing ever!

You had your first throw up and I felt so sorry for you. It was in the middle of the night and daddy was away so I took care of you by myself. Poor girl!!

You love to open/close doors and sometimes get your fingers caught...you will learn soon! You also like to sneak in and splash in the dogs water bowl...naughty girl! We finally brought out the pack and play and baby gate so we can corral you in. You are just too fast!

These past 2 months have been so fun. You are growing and changing so much! I love you monkey!
