Joe and I had our 12 week appointment today. I was a mixture of emotions before we went. I was so excited to go but super nervous that they would not find a heartbeat or that something else would be wrong. I was under the impression that I would have an ultrasound at this appt., but I don't get one until 18 weeks....boo!! We did get to hear the heartbeat though. It was loud and clear and strong! Yay!! The Dr. also said she felt a kick while she was doing it....no fair!! I want to feel a kick. I guess I will soon :) We made our 18 week appt. for Monday, September 19th. It's the day after my mom's birthday...seems appropriate. If the baby cooperates, we will be able to tell the gender at this next appt. I am so excited!! I cannot wait to start buying things and decorating the nursery!

Oh, yay! I was wanting to check in to see how it went for you today. I know exactly what you mean about being nervous and excited for these appointments. Now we can relax, though, because after 12 weeks things rarely go wrong. :)

Don't worry about not getting an ultrasound.
