Yay!! We are off to Disney. Here we are sitting at the airport for our early flight...we both got first class...yes! Oh, and Joe called Mickey from his banana phone.

When we got to our hotel, Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter, this guy was waiting to give us beads...a super fun way to welcome us.

Here is our cute room and bathroom. We loved the sinks, tiles, and wainscoting.

They even made a towel Mickey on the bed...almost like being on a cruise.

This was the view from our room. I really liked the hotel. It felt like I was in New Orleans...I guess that is the point.

Our room....yay! Here I am getting ready to relax by the pool.

We walked over to the sister resort Disney's Port Orleans-Riverside for lunch and to explore.

Here is where we ate lunch....chicken for me, burger for Joe.....fries all around. This ended up being our regular orders for the weekend. I think I ate chicken 3 times...once a day!!

Here is the view of our hotel from the river. Yes, there was a river that connected our hotel to Downtown Disney. There was a water taxi that brought you there through the forest....very relaxing :)

Here is the pool. We did not use the slide but it was good people watching. We swam for a little while and then laid out/read our books like old people.

Here is Joe with his VERY manly mango margarita...haha!! You will notice a lot of pics of Joe since I took most the pictures of the trip.

Joe again with a alligator statue at our resort.

We met up with my Aunt Pam and Uncle Joe (big Joe) at a restaurant in Downtown Disney called Paradiso 37. It was Mexican and very delicious.

No trip to Downtown Disney would be complete without a visit to Ghiradelli Square for some yummy ice cream creations. Joe and I split an amazing peanut butter and chocolate num-num. I think you can tell by the look on Joe's face that we liked it.
