Today was Sally's first day of Mothers Day Out. She is going to the sweetest little school two days a week and I swear she was even more excited than we are. I felt so proud as I watched her walk right in with her little pigtails bouncing up and down. Such a big girl! I was frantic last night. I had to make sure everything was labeled, get her bag packed, make her lunch and make a "happy" for her teachers.
I made her first lunch and I was so excited about it. I'm such a dork. I really want to get into the whole "bento" craze. Although she is too young for all the cute accessories you can add (home girl would eat them!), I can still make them as cute as possible.
Sally woke up bright and early and was ready for her exciting day!
We walked into her sweet school, signed in and found her cubby. I put her lunchbox and backpack on her hook and her blanket, Minnie Mouse and paci in her cubby.
Once we washed her hands (required in the room), she was ready to get down and start playing. Mom fail set in...I TOTALLY forgot to take a picture of her in front of the house. I wanted to start this tradition and do it every year. I guess I will have to recreate the first day on her second day :)
Joe and I got into an arguement. I was one of those moms that wanted to stay and take some pictures. Joe was rushing me and I got no pictures that I wanted :( I cried on the way home because things did not go exactly the way I wanted. I was mad!! Joe calmed me down and told me that we would get pictures when we picked her up. OK......
So we go pick her up and I did get some pictures :) I was disappointed that she had pulled her pig tails out...but what can I expect after a hard day of playing!!

She had so much she wanted to show us! She was especially excited about this Dora book.
When it was time to leave, she walked down the hall like she owned the place.
Her sweet teacher sent me an email later in the day with these pictures. I love this one of the class eating their lunch. They sit in little chairs....so friggin cute!
Sally eating her lunch that I packed for her.
Sweet girl sleeping at nap. They sleep on little cots and I was told that Sally tried to get off her cot a few times. Once she finally fell asleep, she slept hard.
She was exhausted by the time we got home. She was so ready for bed tonight.
I am so happy that she had a wonderful day and I pray that she continues to love school and makes a lot of great friends.
