Celeb News

It's official...Jessica Simpson has announced her pregnancy. This may explain why she put her wedding on hold. I for sure see a bump...wonder how far along she is??
She posted this picture on her website and it said, "It's true. I'm going to be a mummy!"

Love it!!

In other not so surprising news, Kim has filed for divorce from Kris Humphries after only 72 days of marriage....and after spending $10 million on a wedding...sad, sad, sad. I saw this one coming from a mile away. They were so different and did not go well together.

Happy Halloween

It's going to be a pretty low key Halloween. We already had our school party. Joe and I are going to look at a truck after work. We are in the market for a new one since his current one does not have a back seat (and we need one for the baby). After that we will probably eat leftover chili and watch a scary movie.

Menu Monday

Sunday:
My Mama's Chili....nothing better on a chilly fall night!

Monday:
It's Halloween and we will be having leftover chili or ordering pizza. That was a tradition of mine growing up and I like to continue it.

Tuesday:
I am making Fall Pomegranate Salad for my lunch the next few days. I am going to skip the cheese part....because I am crazy and I do not like cheese.

I have Open House tonight at school...Joe will be fending for himself for dinner :(

Wednesday:
Not sure yet....I am walking with Meredith after school...I will probably pick up something fast!

Thursday:

Friday:
Date night at Mama Mia's with a coupon and then Babies R Us to register!

Saturday:
Taking Christmas card pictures with Lindsey and Nick....grab something to eat afterwards?

Just Around the Corner....

I know Halloween is tomorrow, but I have already been listening to Christmas music on Pandora. I seriously cannot help myself. It's my favorite holiday and I always look forward to all the traditions, music, and food :) One of my favorite things about Christmas is the sending and receiving of Christmas cards....one of my favorite places to get them? Tiny Prints. They have the some of the cutest designs out there and I have already got my eye on a few.

I also love their adorable return address stickers. I don't know about you, but I think these would look perfect on a red or lime green envelope.
They also have the cutest gift stickers that you can put on all of your neighbor, co-worker, etc. gifts. How cute would these look on a cellophane bag of homemade goodies and tied with a cute ribbon?!
They also have the most precious birth announcements. I have already been scoping out whch ones I would like to order for little miss Sally.
Check out Tiny Prints today. They have such an array of designs.....from cute to modern. Their paper quality is wonderful and their customer service is top notch!

Great Deal on Tide!!

There is a fantastic deal on Tide right now. Better move fast!!
You can get a 50 oz. bottle of Tide for $5.99 and shipping is free. If you log into your amazon.com account, you will also find a coupon that you can apply to your order for $2 off, which makes this $3.99! I just ordered mine...woo-hoo!

Nursery Progress

My hubby has been a busy little bee....and I helped a little too! I think we have gone to Home Depot almost every day! The chandelier came in from Overstock.com and I love it. We bought a ceiling medallion and Joe took down the fan and installed it. It's very pretty and dainty :)
Joe also finished the armoire...I love it! We got new glass/crystal hardware from Home Depot and it just looks great. I even hung up some of Sally's clothes on the inside. I love that it has a few doors and a some drawers too...great storage! Joe also brought down the crib and changing table. They will be getting a fresh coat of paint on them. It is all starting to really come together. Sometimes I just go in there and turn on the light and smile :)

24 Weeks

Today marks 24 weeks of pregnancy. I swear the time is just flying by! This is a big milestone because is means that the baby can survive outside of the womb with medical help. Of course we do not want to meet Miss Sally for at least 13 more weeks, but it makes me happy to know that she is big enough to survive.

*How far along?: 24 weeks = 6 MONTHS!
*How big is your baby?: according to thebump.com....still a papaya

*Total weight gain?: about 15 pounds...I'm trying not to freak, but its hard to see a number on the scale that you have NEVER seen before.
*Sex: Girl!! Sally :)
*Maternity clothes: all maternity pants, some maternity shirts....all the rest, regular clothes
*Stretch marks: None yet! I noticed a small bruise and I am worried that could be the beginnings on something though...yikes!
*Sleep: I am sleeping pretty good...getting up almost every two hours to potty...I guess my body is just getting me ready for all those night time feedings.
*Best moment this week: The nursery is looking fabulous...the armoire is done, the chandelier is up....time to start with the crib and changing table!
*Movement: various times during the day
*Food cravings: Klondike bars, Honey crisp apples, pizza, salads
*Labor signs: nope
*Belly button in or out: in
*What I miss: my kickboxing and having a drink every now in then :)
*What I'm looking forward to: We have some fun events planned for the next few days!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

{one}
I am loving oranges right now. I have been eating one everyday for my afternoon snack.
{two}
I am finally loving my bump...it took a while to get used to, but I am now embracing it in all its glory!!

{three}
I am loving my sweet puppy face and how he whines now when he wants to sit on the couch with us. He is so spoiled!

{four}
I am loving the fact that Joe and I are headed to Oxford, MS tomorrow night to see Rain. They are an awesome Beatles tribute band. This will be our third time to see them and they NEVER disappoint!

{five}
I ordered this outfit for Sally today from Zulily....I just had to...Pink and Green??!! It was calling my name...and at only $13.00, I couldn't pass it up!

{six}
Our chandelier has been ordered. I found it on Overstock.com for under $70!! I cannot wait for it to come in and for Joe to hang it up.

What are you loving today? Link of with Jamie and tell us.

Fall Break Wrap Up!

I was off all week last week for Fall Break....one of the pluses of being a teacher :) Joe and I stayed pretty busy but at the beginning of the week, I had a lot of time to relax, get a massage, take naps, and cook.

On Wednesday night, we had a date with Tyler and Katelyn. We went to eat Chinese food and then to the Corn Maze. It was fun but actually pretty chilly. Katelyn and I even wore gloves!

Theses are NOT the best pictures, but it's all I have :)

We (mostly Joe) also stayed pretty busy on the nursery.
I swear I went to Home Depot every day!
We got new registers for the floor.

The walls and woodwork all are done!!
On Friday Joe and I had to get out of the house since the cleaning lady was coming. I have been wanting to try breakfast at Bryants. It did not disappoint....yummy!!We also went to several antique malls and finally found the perfect armoire/wardrobe at Sheffield's in Collierville. Joe is painting it white and we are adding new hardware....I am so excited to see it all finished and to start putting some of her sweet little clothes in there.

On Friday afternoon, I drove up to see Kristy in Franklin. Friday night we went to dinner at Chuy's and then to the Cool Springs Mall. I even got to see Esther!!

On Saturday we got up bright and early and headed to the Nashville Flea Market.

There is always so much to look at!! Treasures galore!!
I was in love with this antique laundry cart....too bad I have no where to put it...
Tons of soda crates
A really cool old cabinet....Joe saw this picture and was sad that I didn't buy it....once again...no where to out it...
TONS of old stained glass windows....so beautiful!
I loved this...a vintage jar filled with vintage colored Christmas lights.
We found the perfect frame for me to paint!! YAY!!

These were some neat factory carts that we liked.
We had a late lunch at California Pizza Kitchen, shopping at Green Hills Mall, Trader Joes and then back to Cool Springs to hit up some baby stores and Marshalls. Kristy said she had a surprise for me. I was so excited when we walked into J Alexanders and Abigail was sitting at the bar waiting for us. I haven't seen her face in over 2 years!! What a nice surprise!! We had a nice dinner and great conversation. I love my girls!!
