Babymoons? Yay or Nay?

So today I am thinking of Babymoons. I got my new planner and October looks like the perfect time. Joe is planning a boys trip to Kansas City to see the Minnesota Vikings play in October and I will hopefully have a girls weekend too. I do have Fall Break (almost a week off school ) later in the month too. What do you think about Babymoons? My pregnant friends, are you going on one? Where? When? I am thinking of where I would like to go and here are my top choices:

*Chicago*

*St. Louis*

*San Francisco*

*NYC*
*San Antonio*

So tell me...Are you going/did you go on a babymoon? Where? Thought?

I've had a lot of friends that have taken them.
I'd go for Chicago! I love Chicago! :)

I think it's a great idea! As much as y'all love to travel, you guys should definitely get in one more "pre-baby" trip, and October would be a great time of the year to do it! Weather would be great and you wouldn't be too far along to get out & about to enjoy it!

I think babymoons are a great idea! We didn't take one, but I guess you could say we got pregnant on ours :) We took a two week New England/Canada road trip before Jonathan started his second year of optometry school, and that was really the last time he could take that long of a break from school. So we definitely enjoyed one last adventure before baby, but I just wasn't pregnant when we left! But if we had the vacation time and the cash to have done another trip, it would have been great!

YES!! Babymoon for sure! Jeff and I went to the Atlantis in the Bahamas in July. I was 6 months along. Just pick a place...Wherever you go you will have a great time!! Once the baby comes you will still be able to travel BUT the babymoon is a special trip for the 3 of you...except you don't have to "pack" for the baby yet :)

We didn't technically have a "babymoon" but we took some trips before we had our first. I think you should definitely try to fit it in your plans. So much changes after the little one arrives, although, kiddos have never stopped us from making a road trip. We're planning our first big getaway for next year for our 10 yr anniversary (without kids)! All of the cities you chose are winners!

I would LOVE to go on a babymoon, but since we just went to Europe in April, it pry won't happen. If I had the chance to do it, I would definitely do it in my second trimester, when foods are no longer making me gag, lol. :) As far as places we have been, Chicago was fun, but nothing beats NYC of course. Nothing. St Louis is pretty vanilla, in my opinion, and you have to drive everywhere. San Francisco is AWESOME, although there are lots of bums. Just a really fun city with good public transportation and AMAZING dim sum. There is just so much to do with great weather to do it in!

We went to NYC for our babymoon and it was great! We stayed in Times Square and hit all the food hotspots, like John's Pizza, Serendipity 3, Magnolia Bakery. It was perfect! We also got on the Today Show with our "We're on our Babymoon!" sign!
