Bahama Breeze Late Night Happy Hour, Rice Bowls, Cocktails and a Giveaway!!

What would you do if I told you I was giving away a party at Bahama Breeze...enter of course!!

I don't know about you but I need a beach in my life...soon! When I cannot take a vacation, I like to head to Bahama Breeze.

A group of Memphis bloggers was invited to try out the new Rice Bowls and Happy Hour menu at Bahama Breeze. Now, Bahama Breeze holds a special place in my heart. Its where Joe and I had our first date (we hit it off right away!), where we cut our coconut shrimp (to be polite...hey, we were just meeting for the first time!), and where Joe ordered fish (to seem sophisticated...ha!). When I heard that we could go for free and try out new menu items, I was in!

It was raining when I got there on a Friday night...and it was prom night for a local high school. I loved seeing all the girls in their dresses.

Well when you go to Happy Hour you have to start with cocktails, right. I started out with a Bahamarita....so good! It is Cuervo Gold Tequila, kiwi, strawberry and mango ices.  Bahama Breeze had a wonderful drink menu.

Check out the dinner menu here.

We started out with some yummy coconut shrimp and onion rings. I have had the coconut shrimp before and they never disappoint. The onion rings were delicious too...and so huge!

I ordered the Jamaican Jerk Chicken with rice and veggies. I loved the mango salsa on top of the chicken.
The folks at Bahama Breeze also brought out several of their new Rice Bowls for us to try. I liked the Shrimp Creole and Asian the best. I think the Rice Bowls are good but there are so many other things on the menu that I like better. Why would I go to a island restaurant and get Asian food?
 We had SO MUCH FOOD!!!

Our server was so sweet and drew pictures on the take out containers.

Here is a group shot of all of us.
I loved meeting you ladies and cannot wait until our next meet-up!
Bahama Breeze is the perfect spot to make you feel like you are on vacation. I especially love sitting on the patio when they have the steel drum band playing...if you close your eyes and then wind is blowing...you feel like you are on an island. Pure bliss!
The late night happy hour specials are available Sunday-Thursday from 9 p.m.- close. They have specialty drinks ($4!!!) and half price appetizers. Check out the menu here
.

And now for the giveaway. Bahama Breeze has graciously agreed to give away a "Cocktail Hour". That is 1 hour of free appetizers and 1 cocktail per person for up to 20 people. I think this would be perfect for a night out with friends...and when your hour is up, get a table and stay for dinner. You must be local to participate. This is for the Memphis Bahama Breeze location only. You also must make a reservation with the restaurant.

*Our meal/drinks were comped, but the opinions are all mine :)
