Sally-15 Months
Sweet Little Monkey-
We have had so much fun this past month. You are so curious about everything and really starting to explore everything! I can't take my eyes off you for one second! You are really changing and growing everyday. It's crazy to look back at old pictures. You were so little!!
Growth: 22 pounds, 10 teeth total
Like: watching TV, swinging, music, Yo Gabba Gabba, stacking blocks, playing in the tub, reading books, eating snacks, dancing, playing peek-a-boo, taking things out of something and then putting them back in
Disikes: having diaper changed (you are fine with it when we give you something to hold), not getting your way, being hot
Favorite Foods: yogurt, graham sticks, Ritz crackers, cereal bars, blueberries, mango, grilled cheese, ham, pizza
Favorite Books: ABC Animals, You Are My Cupcake, I Like Bugs
Favorite Songs: ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, You Are My Sunshine, I Love You A Bushel and a Peck, Three Little Birds
Favorite Words: Mama, Monkey, Uh-Oh, I Got It
Favorite Toys: anything you should NOT be playing with....ha! You love your Baby Stella, Glow Worm, Haba Blocks, B Toys Keys, Green Toys Boat
This month was hard with you waking up in the night. I think you were teething..poor girl! You love the swing and we try to go to the backyard at least once a day!
You love to make animal sounds. You are the best at a duck, monkey and cat.
You love crawling to Hank's water bowl and splashing....so naughty!! We have really had to put up the baby gates downstairs.
You had a bad throat infection and tried your first popsicle...you didn't know what to think!!
You love playing in the sprinkler!
You still arent walking. Im not sure why but I'm not worried....you will do it when you are ready.
Some friends gave us a little car that you ride in while mommy pushes it. You LOVE it and get so excited when I get it out everyday. We walk up and down the street and you steer the wheel and turn the key...so cute!!
You are super curious about mommy and daddy's tongue...especially when we curl it. You seem so curious on how we can do that. Don't worry, its genetic...so you will be able to do it too :)
Mommy decided to quit her job so we can hang out all the time....so excited for all of our adventures and memories! I love you sweet girl!

Go Here: Flying Fish
We recently met some friends for dinner at Flying Fish downtown.
Ordering is VERY casual. Get in line and start looking at the menu. It's on the wall. This is one of the few places in Memphis where you can get fresh seafood....and hushpuppies!!
Find a seat and take a look at all of the fish on the wall.
I went with the fried shrimp, fried okra and hushpuppies....hey, might as well go all out, right?!
Joe had a Po-Boy and fries.
Sally munched off both of our plates.
I really like this place. It's right downtown, has great prices, the food is yummy and it almost makes you feel like you are at the beach ;)
Go here and join their email club. They send you a really good coupon every month! You can also get a frequent purchaser's card. Even though we only go here every so often, I still get my stamps each time. They add up and pretty soon I will get a free meal :)
Eat Here: Young Avenue Deli
A few months ago we had a day date and went to lunch at Young Avenue Deli. At night this place has great live music but during the day it makes the perfect place to grab a bite to eat. I love the feel of this place...the walls are exposed brick, there are cool old signs everywhere and everyone is really laid back.
Sally was VERY interested in the ketchup!
Another thing I like are the cups that they serve the drinks in. You get to keep them when you leave too...free souvenir!!
I got the BLT and it was one of the best that I have ever had! It's not on the menu but they will make it for you if you ask sweetly! The fries are awesome...hand cut and so delicious!!
Sally sure liked the fries too!
Young Avenue deli is located in Cooper-Young. Check out this colorful house across the street! Go there for lunch one day and then walk around Cooper-Young and go to the stores...it will be a fun day out :)
