Sally-11 Months

Monkey-

The fact that you are 11 months old totally blows my mind. It seems like just yesterday that we were preparing for your birth and now here I am preparing for your first birthday!  The past month has been full of discovery and wonder...we celebrated the holidays, you took your first plane ride and got your first black eye!

You are into everything that you can get your hands onto! If I turn my back for a minute you have crawled across the room and usually have something that you shouldn't have....did I mention we haven't baby proofed yet? yeah...need to get on that!

One of your favorite things to do is to pull all the toys out of your toy bin. Mommy picks them up and you pull them right out again...all while having the biggest smile on your face! You also love going over to the cabinet under the sink and pulling out cleaning products....remember how I said we needed to baby proof. Its happening this weekend!

You are crawling everywhere...super fast! I love to watch your little bottom as you crawl...so cute!! You are pulling up on everything and I'm pretty sure that you will be taking your first steps soon!

You absolutely LOVE the bath. It is your happy place. If you are cranky....a bath seems to make it all better. You love your bath toys and always have a big smile on your face when its bath time.

You are super friendly...always smiling and waving...and trying to talk to everyone. It doesn't matter where we are....everyone always comments on how outgoing and friendly you are. You love to babble and talk to yourself. Such a happy girl! I cant wait to hear what you have to say!

We are having trouble getting you to eat real food...but you still have no teeth...which I imagine is tricky since you still have no teeth. You just LOVE your bottle but we are working everyday to add more solids into your diet.

You love to play "Peek-a-boo", "so big!" and "where's baby?".

You tried chocolate chip cookies for the first time...LOVED them!! You are going to be a little cookie monster!

Mommy went to Nashville overnight to stay with Aunt Kristy and left you overnight for the first time. I missed you but getting a good nights sleep sure was nice. You are still waking up at least once a night to snuggle/drink milk. We know we need to let you cry but its so hard.

You had a little stomach bug...poor baby! You also gave it to Mommy and Daddy.

You tried orzo pasta...seemed to like it. Mommy and Daddy have been working hard to get the house back in order after the kitchen was done and you are perfectly content to play and watch Yo Gabba Gabba...you are such a happy and easy going baby!

You love to look at yourself in the mirror!

We celebrated your first Christmas. You were very curious about all the presents and lights and seemed to love everything. 

Mommy to you on your first plane ride (all by myself!!) to Minnesota. Daddy rode on the FedEx plane. 

 

You loved the airplane and especially loved looking out the windows. You finally decided that you were ready to eat "puffs" and have been eating them non-stop. You tried chicken and liked it and got to see Grandpa Clarence. You tried angel food cake and pizza sauce and liked both of those too!

We celebrated New Years in Minnesota and you stayed up way too late!!

You have been going to the nursery at the gym while Mommy works out and you seem to enjoy it.

This has been a super full month....full of lots of growing and changing!! I love you so much Monkey!
