12 Days of Christmas {Day 7-DIY Crafts}

I have not really had a chance to do too many Christmas crafts yet...super busy! Here are a few simple things that I gave done so far. Don't worry, I will be posting MANY more before Christmas!

Today's topic is RIGHT up my alley...because, I LOVE watching movies...especially Christmas movies. Here is a list of my favorites:

1. Black Friday is something that I do every year....I'm one of the crazies!

2. Christmas shopping this year will include buying gifts for Joe, my brother/his wife, in-laws, and Hanky :)

3. Holiday shopping makes me happy. I love going to the mall at Christmas time.

4. This year my Christmas list will include an antique factory cart table. Toms shoes, some DVDs, a necklace, etc.

5. Bargain hunter, or full price shopper? BARGAIN HUNTER...all. the. way.!!

6. The best and worst things about shopping is best part is the atmosphere and buying something that you are really excited about giving someone else. The worst part is the traffic!!

7. Online shopper or in-person shopper? both..

Day 4: Tips/Tricks to a Budget Friendly Holiday Season

Wanna save some pennies (or dollars!) this holiday season? I will teach you some of my tricks and hopefully they will help you.

1. Make a budget and stick with it. Don't buy things just because something is a good deal does not mean that you HAVE to buy it!!

2. Gather coupons and be organized!

3. Consider playing "Dirty Santa" with your extended family so that you do not have to buy for everyone.

4. Make cookies for your co-workers or draw names at work so you only have to buy one gift.

5. I like to stock up on baking supplies, Chex Mix stuff and general ingredients as they go on sale.

6. Host an ornament exchange with friends.

7. Take advantage of free Christmas card deals....like the one I told you about here.

8. Don't buy ANYTHING at Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Jo-Ann's, etc. without using a coupon!

9. The BEST wrapping paper is at Hobby Lobby. Use a coupon and save 40% off! It is really cute,there is TONS on the roll, and there is a grid on the back so you always cut a straight line...love it!!

I Am Thankful For the Nouns In My Life!

I am sitting here watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade....(a tradition!!) I realize that I have SO MUCH to be thankful for :)

I am thankful for being able to donate to worthy causes.

I am thankful for having a healthy body.

I am thankful that we get to see both of our families often

I am thankful for our wonderful friends.

I am thankful that I have a awesome dog whom I love like a child.

I am thankful for my sister!

I am thankful for food to eat and a cute house to live in.

I am thankful for my wonderful husband who loves and supports me unconditionally.

I am thankful for my fun job that I love...not may people can say that they love their job.

I am thankful for having such wonderful parents. I hope to one day lead by example.

I am thankful for being able to travel the world!!
