The Newlywed Game

It's time for the Newlywed Game! I am stealing this idea from Katie. If you are not sure how this works, the husband answers questions about the wife and then you compare the answers.
That's supposed to be me and Joe :)

1. She’s sitting in front of the TV, what is on the screen?

2. Hubs: There’s a number of things….The Bachelor, Jersey Shore, or some other silly reality tv show.

Sarah: He is right....I love me some mindless reality TV...but he cannot hate on me...we are currently watching Jersey Shore together!

2. You’re out to eat, what kind of dressing does she get on her salad?

Hubs: Vinegrette or Ranch…but it has to be the RIGHT Ranch…

Sarah: Yup...I love Ranch dressing....but it has to be the right kind...J Alexanders and Firebirds has the BEST!!

3. What’s one food she doesn’t like?

Hubs: hahaha…there are a million foods, but cheese is #1

Sarah: Cheese......ewwww!!

4. You go out to eat and have a drink, what does she order?

Hubs: water?

Sarah: Totally right....water with lemon =happiness

5. What shirt size does she have?

Hubs: girl’s medium

Sarah: Good boy....he is right!

6. What shoe size does she have?

Hubs: 9 ½??

Sarah: What???!! 9 1/2?? Seriously?? I wear a 7 1/2 :)

7. What’s her favorite type of sandwich?

Hubs: there is no type….wait BLT…that is the ONLY one

Sarah: BLT's ....mmmmmmm....hold the mayo, add yellow mustard please.

8. What would she eat everyday if she could?

Hubs: ice cream

Sarah: Well....I do LOVE ice cream...

9. What is her favorite cereal?

Hubs: Honey Bunches of Oats…

Sarah: nooooo...what is he thinking? I only eat ONE kind of cereal...Raisin Nut Bran.

10. What would she never wear?

Hubs: leather pants

Sarah: Shows what he knows....I used to wear pleather pants....does that count? I wouldn't wear them now though.

11. What is her favorite sports team?

Hubs: Memphis Tigers Basketball

Sarah: I love Memphis Tigers basketball and thanks to Joe, I like the Vikings now....OK, I like the cute shirt I bought and the bar food (chicken fingers, fries, fried pickles, etc. that I get to consume while watching said football)

14. What is something she does that you wish she wouldn’t do?

Hubs: Leave drawers and doors open constantly…all the time!

Sarah: I'm working on it...

15. What is her heritage?

Hubs: German…all the way

Sarah: Yup :)

16. You bake her a cake, what kind of cake?

Hubs: I can’t bake you a cake because you wouldn’t eat it

Sarah: First of all, I do not think that Joe would ever make a cake...but if he did....not sure I would eat it. I sorta have a weird thing about other people's baked goods.

17. Did she play sports in high school?

Hubs: No…she was on the cheer team

Sarah: Yup....I was a cheerleader for Germantown High School.....this is not my squad..just found it online.

18. What could she spend hours doing?

Hubs: monkeying around on that computer

Sarah: I am VERY busy on the computer...blogging, Facebook stalking, checking email, doing work stuff, etc.

19. What is the unique talent that she has?

Hubs: Baking

Sarah: I am good at baking...I'm also very crafty!

20. What is her type of coffee?

Hubs: she doesn’t drink coffee

Sarah: no coffee for me....

Top Two Tuesday...on Wednesday....Blame it on the computer!!

1. With a Little Help From My Friends by The Beatles
The Beatles are my most favorite band of all time. It is hard to pick just one song....but this one is awesome! Joe and I love to belt it out in the car.
2. Three Little Birds by Bob Marley
This song always makes me smile. I teach it to my students every year and they get so excited when we sing it in class. I started listening to Bob Marley in middle school :)

Things to do this Fall...

It's official...it's fall.
Although it seems that someone has forgotten to tell the weather gods. In Memphis this past week the temperatures were almost 100 degrees. I am currently in Minnesota where the leaves are changing and there is a nip in the air. I may or may not have made a trip to a Minneapolis Pottery Barn to buy fall stuff yesterday....hehe! Fall is my favorite season. The leaves changing makes me so HAPPY!

In order to enjoy my favorite season, I have a made a list of all the things I am going to try and do before the COLD comes. What's on your list?

1. Go on a nature walk with Joe and collect acorns and leaves.
2. Go to a corn maze (not haunted....I can't stand people chasing me with chain saws!)
3. Pick a pumpkin :)
4. Complete some fall cleaning in the house-clean all the baseboards, clean the attic, change the air filter, etc.
5. Spend a day reading magazines and books at Davis Kidd Bookstore with a mug of apple cider.
6. Go camping....can you believe Joe and I have never been camping together. We registered for all the stuff as wedding gifts and we have never been. We have traveled all over and have never been...crazy huh?? I would be happy in a tent or cabin....I just need to be in the woods!
7. Make some pumpkin treats. I do not like the taste of pumpkin, but Joe does....so pumpkin treats it is!!
8. Go on a mini weekend getaway with Joe. Possibly Big Cedar Lodge, The Biltmore, or The Crescent Hotel (We have been to this one before and LOVE it....it's haunted!!).
9. Spend a weekend with Kristy going to flea markets and antique stores.
10. Start planning my Christmas gifts, activities, and baking plans.
11. Order my Christmas cards! Lindsey Lissau is taking pics of us on October 14th....so excited!!

Top Two Tuesday-Hair Products!

It's Top Two Tuesday today and the theme is favorite hair products. I am not someone who spends a lot of money on my hair...heck, I get it cut at Supercuts and use dye out of a box. I used to pay $100 to get it colored and realized that was silly :) I do spend a little money on the products that work with my hair.

1. Bedhead Brilliant Brunette Shampoo and Conditioner
This stuff smells so yummy. It moisturizes my hair and helps the color last longer.
2. Biosilk
I started using this stuff in college. A little bit goes a LONG way, but it helps keep the frizzies away.

My Date With Dad

I had to rush home from Natalie's shower on Saturday because I had another date night...this time with my dad! For his birthday in August I got him tickets to see Frankie Valli at The Orpheum. So that's what we did. First we went to Pei Wei for dinner and then it was time for the show.
Here is Dad waiting for the show to start.
Here is a picture of the stage. They did all their hits including "Sherry Baby",
"Big Girls Don't Cry, "Grease", "Ragdoll", etc. The show was wonderful and I will always remember going with my dad. It was my mom's birthday and I think she would have loved it :)

Natalie's Baby Bump

This weekend I traveled to the busy metropolis of Centerville, TN :) to shower Natalie and baby Nolan.

Me and Kristy
Opening gifts...she got a lot of really nice things!
Look at all the LOOT! Can't wait to see you girls in Januray 2011.....Knoxville Girls Weekend!!
Sister Kristy.....I'll see you in 28 days in Miami for our CRUISE!!

Date Night!!

This week, Joe and I had date night on Friday. We were both pretty tired from a long week of work, so we decided to go to dinner at Swanky's and eat on the Patio. Joe got chicken enchiladas and I got tacos.

Yummy!! Joe was a happy boy :)

After dinner we went to Best Buy (I needed an external hard drive for my laptop) and Target. Joe said that he needed something sweet....
At home we watched the movie "Date Night"...how appropriate!
