Girl Rooms

On to possible girl room inspiration. If I do have a girl, I'm almost 100% that this is my bedding. I saw it on Etsy and FELL IN LOVE! It is so me. I love the colors and patterns.

I love the wood work in this room.
I like how they used an old buffet. painted it and it is not used as a changing table.
Love the wooden monogram on the wall.
Pretty wall color with wood work below.
Cute changing table.
Love this whole room! That rug is so fun!
I would love to find an old armoire to refinish and use in the baby room.
This is so fun!
I love the wall color and the yellow(painted) Jenny Lind crib.

Boy Rooms

These are all from my Pinterest boards. Obviously I am not doing all of them (they are all quite different). I just like them all and will choose one to serve as my inspiration if I have a boy.

I like the bright colors of this bedding...and the Jenny Lind crib.

We will be doing something like this on the walls no matter what the sex is....another Jenny Lind crib!

Love the vintage globes and toys!

Very calm and pretty...but in a boyish way :)

I love the neutral colors and chevron rug here.

This is rustic but fun....not sure how it would work in our house though...

I LOVE this one....maps, galvanized steel, burlap.....yes please!

I have always liked blue and green together :)
So...which look is your favorite?

Wanna Get Scared??!!

Joe and I got this movie from Redbox last night....oh my! It was one of the scariest movies that I have ever seen. If you like scary movies, go and rent this!!

My Belly Book

Meet "The Belly Book". It's a journal where you can keep track of your pregnancy and ever growing belly. I got this a few months ago when Joe and I started getting more serious about babies. I totally forgot I had it until yesterday. I was so excited to be able to pull it out and start filling it in. I highly recommend this for all my pregnant friends. I am a big journal writer and I think it will be so neat to go back and look at this. It has spaces for your weekly belly pics too.

Telling Joe

Joe was coming on from Texas on Thursday. Do you know how hard it is to keep a secret like that....for FOUR DAYS!!!!!!???? Somehow I did it. Whenever we would talk on the phone, I wanted to scream it. I wanted to tell him....but I really wanted to do it in person....so I would wait patiently. But....I had a secret :)

When Joe came home Thursday night, I was ready. I took the pregnancy test and put it in an envelope that I had made to say "Top Secret". I punched a hole in the envelope and put a ribbon through it. I then waited until I saw Joe pull up and then tied it around Hank's (our dog) neck. When Joe walked in of course Hank was waiting for him. I was sitting on the couch with the camera....waiting.

Here is the video. I actually took 2 but the first one is just him walking in and asking what was around Hank's neck. I told him it was a present. At the beginning of the video he is feeling the envelope and guesses that it is a toothbrush.

Joe was really excited!

Then we took a picture together....Can you see our excitement?
We can't wait to be parents.

Morning, Afternoon and Evening Sickness

For about 2 weeks I felt like this:
It hot me all of a sudden....one morning I was walking six miles on the Greenline and the next day I was down for the count. It was terrible. I didn't just have morning sickness. I had ALL DAY LONG sickness! I was miserable. I felt like I was going to throw up all day long. At first I didn't actually throw up and then it started and I couldn't keep anything down. I was actually starting to show signs of dehydration and Joe was very worried. Luckily he got me some Gatorade and I was able to keep that down. The worst part was our trip to Minnesota over the 4th of July. I felt so sick the whole time. I hated that I couldn't hang out with everyone but I just felt so bad.

On the way home from Minnesota I called the nurse and begged her to call me in an anti-nausea drug....let me just say this:
Phenergan is my new best friend! That stuff worked like a miracle drug. I can actually function like a normal human being now. I am down to taking 1/2 a pill every 8 hours or so. Hopefully I will be past all of this soon and will not need to take any more medicine.
When I was so sick these things seemed to make it is a little easier:

{gingersnaps}

{Origins Peace of Mind}
I just use a little dot of this and breathe it in, rub on my temples, etc.
{Popsicles}
really any kind will do :)

{Fresca}
yum...that's all there is to say.

{peppermints}
