I am trying a new recipe from Disney Family. It's Slow Cooker Chicken Tacos and it looks fast and yummy!I am substituting chicken breasts for chicken thighs because Joe and I do not eat dark meat chicken.

Friday:

Date Night with Joe

We are going downtown to see The Wizard of Oz on the big screen at the historic Orpheum theatre.

We will grab a bite to eat downtown :)

Saturday:

Possible date night with friends :)

Sunday:

Joe worked tonight so that he can get time off to go on a flying trip.

12 Weeks

*How far along?: 12 weeks...3 months!! I can't believe that I am 3 months pregnant...crazy!

*Total weight gain?: 5 pounds

*How big is baby?: a plum

*Sex: Still thinking its a girl....we will find out for sure on September 19th....if not sooner :)

*Maternity clothes: I have started transitioning....wearing a lot of dresses....oh, who am I kidding? I am wearing ONLY dresses!

*Stretch marks: Nope.

*Sleep: I've been waking up all night to go to the bathroom....annoying!! I just want to sleep!

*Best moment this week: Joe and I heard the heartbeat at the Dr. It was amazing!

*Movement: I haven't felt anything yet, but the Dr. said she felt a kick when she was listening to the heartbeat. No fair!

*Food cravings: still wanting lots of fruit and salads, BLT's, pizza, and ice cream.

*Labor signs: not for about 28 more weeks...

*Belly button in or out: in

*What I miss: going to the gym....remember how I said last week that I was going to go back last week? Yeah....didn't happen...maybe this week :)

*What I'm looking forward to: Finding out what we are having. Joe and I REALLY want to start the nursery!!

12 Weeks Doctor Appt.

Joe and I had our 12 week appointment today. I was a mixture of emotions before we went. I was so excited to go but super nervous that they would not find a heartbeat or that something else would be wrong. I was under the impression that I would have an ultrasound at this appt., but I don't get one until 18 weeks....boo!! We did get to hear the heartbeat though. It was loud and clear and strong! Yay!! The Dr. also said she felt a kick while she was doing it....no fair!! I want to feel a kick. I guess I will soon :) We made our 18 week appt. for Monday, September 19th. It's the day after my mom's birthday...seems appropriate. If the baby cooperates, we will be able to tell the gender at this next appt. I am so excited!! I cannot wait to start buying things and decorating the nursery!

Fill In The Blank Friday!

1. My most favorite birthday was my 28th birthday....we were in Disney World....for me it just really doesn't get any better than that!

2. My worst birthday was I have never had a "worst" birthday. They have all been pretty good.

3. My favorite birthday memory is I was sick one year when Joe and I were dating. He came over to my parents house (where I was living at the time) and we had a Chinese food picnic with my family on the living room floor. I got dance lessons (for our wedding) and my stainless steel kitchen aid mixer...one of the best gifts...ever!

4. The best birthday present I've ever received was It's hard to say. I loved my kitchen aid mixer, I also got a "Return to Tiffany's" bracelet from my parents for my 21st birthday.

5. The best birthday present I've ever given was Hmm.....I am not really sure.....

6. Birthdays are bittersweet for me. Always have been. I can remember crying after my birthday parties when I was younger because I didn't want to get any older. I was never the kid who wanted to grow up. Maybe I have a little "Peter Pan" in me. Age is just a number anyways :)

7. My favorite age so far has been 24. Joe and I were newly married and playing house. Life was good....it still is. I think it's neat that I am turning 30 this year....a year that I have sorta been dreading. Now I am pregnant. I can;t wait to see what 30 has in store for me!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I love that we get to go to the Dr. on Friday. I am praying that everything looks healthy and right on track. I am worried to step on the scale though!

I am over this hot weather. These clothes make me yearn for fall and it's cooler weather. Now I only need to figure out to make these outfits work for my belly bump.

{three}

I am loving that Joe and I have gone to a pool the past two Sundays in a row. Our friends/cousins Nick and Lindsey have access to a pool...at Nick's parents house. They have been so kind to let us tag along with them. I love floating on the raft and eating salsa :)
