*What I'm looking forward to:I cannot wait to find out what we are having. I think it will all seem more real and we will be able to start working on the baby's room.

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

{one}
I am so loving that we have decided to take a long weekend trip to the beach in September for my 30th birthday. I honestly cannot think of a better way to spend my birthday then with my toes in the sand.
{two}
I love that we got to do to dinner this week at The Happy Mexican with Abby, Ryan, and Ezra. I didn't rbing my camera, so I stole these pictures from Facebook. Abby and I have been friends since middle school and she and her sweet family have been living in South Korea for the last few years. They are home for the summer and we are going to try and see them as much as possible.

How cute is little Ezra at the beach?!
Abby also brought me a baby gift. Sophie the giraffe...yay!, one of those mesh things that you put fruit in and a poopie diaper clip thing for poopie diapers on the go. Thanks Abby!!
{three}
I am loving these vintage mason jars that I got for FREE!! Someone was giving them away on Freecycle and I was all over it.
{four}
I just realized that I never showed you the perfect green and pink sock monkey that Joe's mom gave us when we were in Minnesota a few weeks ago. Did I mention she had already bought this before we told her we were pregnant? Yeah....crazy. I love it!!

{five}
I am loving this bag on sale at Nordstrom...and it's less than $30!! I think I will have to buy it today :)

{six}
I love that I got to go to the Memphis Blog Girls dinner last night. We met at Swanky's....yum! It is always good to get together with these girls.
It is crazy that 4 of us are pregnant!

{seven}
I am so loving the new mailbox that I just ordered. I can't wait to see it hung up on our house....so vintage and cute!
What are you loving this week? Link up with Jamie and tell us.

Babymoons? Yay or Nay?

So today I am thinking of Babymoons. I got my new planner and October looks like the perfect time. Joe is planning a boys trip to Kansas City to see the Minnesota Vikings play in October and I will hopefully have a girls weekend too. I do have Fall Break (almost a week off school ) later in the month too. What do you think about Babymoons? My pregnant friends, are you going on one? Where? When? I am thinking of where I would like to go and here are my top choices:

*Chicago*

*St. Louis*

*San Francisco*

*NYC*
*San Antonio*

So tell me...Are you going/did you go on a babymoon? Where? Thought?

If it's a boy....I have the bag!

I had pinned this baby over on Pinterest a few weeks ago. I thought it would make a cute and practical diaper bag. It's really a purse ;) Imagine my excitement when I walked into Target yesterday and found it on sale...woop-woop!! Of course I had to buy it :)

8 Weeks

Here is the first picture of our little one. I think it looks like Joe. Apparently it has a tail. Joe is hoping the tail stays....I kid, I kid. He is so crazy!
Me at 8 weeks

Telling The Parents

Telling your parents that you are pregnant is almost as fun as telling your husband....almost. The first parent to know was my sweet mama. She has known about this baby since she went to heaven and I personally think she had a hand in selecting my little one. When I get scared or nervous about something I calm down quickly because I know she is watching out for me.

Here is a picture of my sweet mama when she was pregnant with me in July 1981. I love her dress and shoes....looks like stuff that I wear now :)

The next person we told was Joe's dad. We had to do it over the phone but he was soooooo excited!!

We had my dad over for dinner to tell him. We were sitting around the table eating and talking about life and we asked him what could make his life better right now. One of his answers was to have a grandchild. We said "well...today is your lucky day!". At first he didn't believe it but then we was so happy and almost cried for a minute. He was so excited but also a little sad since my mother couldn't be sitting there with him. He wishes she was here to be a grandma. I wish she could be here too.

We told Joe's mom and stepdad when we went to Minnesota for the 4th of July.
On the agenda....taking in a Minnesota Twins game in the new stadium.

Here I am at the Minnesota airport 7 weeks pregnant. Did I mention that I super sick the entire trip....yeah....I was. It was no fun!

We made a book of pictures from our trip to Mexico. On the last page was a picture of the "pregnant" pregnancy test. Here is the video of Joe's mom seeing the news. It didn't go exactly as planned. She didn't want to ruin the surprise for Joe's stepdad who still hadn't seen the picture in the book....oh well. She was super excited :)

Of course my brother and all other friends and family were all so excited. We feel so blessed to have so much love and support from everyone!!
