Quotes To Live By

“Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous.”

Where My Girls At?!

This past weekend I headed up to the Nashville area for Girls Weekend. First I drove to Jackson and hopped in the car with Beth and then we continued our journey to Sister Kristy's house. Natalie had an awful time trying to get to Nashville. She ran into terrible traffic and Baby Nolan was screaming in the back. She decided to turn around and go back to Knoxville.

After dropping our things off we headed to eat some Mexican food and drink some fruity drinks. Poor pregnant Beth had to drink a virgin margarita....that didn't stop some people from giving her a strange look!

Kristy and I doing the wedding drink pose :)
After dinner we put on PJ's and watched the movie, Love and Other Drugs. Beth went to sleep and Kristy and I stayed up talking until 1 am!

We woke up to BEAUTIFUL weather on Saturday and had Kristy's dad take some pictures before we headed out.
Can you tell that Beth is even pregnant? Her belly is small!
We decided to eat lunch at the historic Homestead Manor. It was yummy and was in a really neat old house.
Girls Weekend...YAY!

After lunch we headed to Green Hills to do some shopping. It was Nashville Fashion Week so we stopped to watch a fashion show....uh, not impressed!
We also shopped at Trader Joe's, Anthropologie, and stopped for a treat at Sweet CeCe's. We went to dinner at J Alexanders and then went back to Kristy's to watch THE WORST MOVIE EVER!! It was called The Brutal Truth and I got it from Blockbuster.com because it had Christina Applegate in it. Seriously, it was terrible!

On Sunday we woke up and went to breakfast at J. Christophers.
I had blueberry crunch cakes and they were sooooo good!

I loved this weekend. I love being with my girlfriends. We had a lot of good talks and laughs and made a bunch of memories. Hopefully we will be continuing this tradition after we all have babies....they will just have to stay with daddy for the weekend while the mommies get away and enjoy their girl time :)

Meal Plan Monday!!

Sunday: Barbecue Meatloaf, southern style green beans and Mac and Cheese (the boxed kind)
*I have made several different meatloaf recipes for my hubby. Meatloaf is his FAVORITE and this is his favorite recipe! Anytime I try something new, he always tells me to go back to this one. It's by Paula Dean....so you know it's gonna be good!

Monday: Leftovers!

**I REALLY liked these....I felt like I was eating something healthy. The slaw was yummy be itself too. I am adding this to my files.
Wednesday:
Baked Chicken using this Chicken Marinade , steamed veggies and salad.
**Joe asked why I making dinner when we already had leftovers from the 2 pervious dinners left. I was like....no! I want to cook. He said he wasn't hungry but later when he saw the chicken, he started picking at it and his exact words were "I think this is the BEST chicken you have ever made!". Hmmm...that may be a tad extreme. It was pretty good. I am convinced that chicken on the bone stays way more moist than my regular boneless skinless chicken. I will be making this again. It was easy and yummy!

Thursday:
Breakfast for dinner....pancakes and applewood smoked bacon.

Friday:
Going out to dinner and to the Redbirds Game with good friends!

Saturday:
We are going to a wedding :)

Fill In The Blank Friday!

1. The best prank I ever pulled was mean....probably telling my father-in-law that I was pregnant last year. He is VERY anxious for a grandbaby!!

2. The best prank ever pulled on me was probably when my brother used to scare me .

3. A day without feeling love is a day wasted.

4. The most important things in life are love and living life to the fullest!

5. I dream of one day being a mommy to beautiful and well-mannered children, being a HOT mom, not loosing myself to my children, having a beautiful big, old house, traveling the world with my family and friends, and being healthy.

6. I dread doing taxes!!

7. A discovery I made this week was that my special jewelry is missing. Its my Ayala Bar cross necklace and my mom's earrings. I always put my jewelry in the same place and yesterday it wasn't there. You may think I'm coo-coo bananas, but I seriously think my mom moved it. If she had to move any jewelry, she would for sure pick that. It just makes sense to me. I don;t think she did it to be mean...just to let me know that she is here.

Have a great weekend!
I am headed to Nashville for Girls Weekend!!
