Block Party

Last night Joe and I hosted a neighborhood block party. It sort of turned into a friend party instead of a neighborhood party...oh well! We had fun and that's all that matters. Above is the drink station that I set up.

I went to the farmer's market yesterday to pick up some fresh flowers....

$2 happiness for this little vase full :)

I also hit up the neighborhood yard sales....what a waste of time! I spent a total of $2.40 and ended up with some napkin rings that I am going to cover with burlap and three serving bowls.

Five Questions...

1. If you could go back to college would you change your major? Or, if you were to go to college right now...what major would you choose?
**I LOVE my job but sometimes wonder if I should have gone to pastry school. I also wish that I would have done a study abroad year. I love traveling and cannot believe that I didn't do something like that....I was probably too scared to leave a stupid boy...

2. What do you love most about your home?
**I love all the character that my house has. It's cozy and Joe and I have worked hard to add things that truly reflect our personalities. I also love my yard :)

3. What types of books do you like to read (if you like to read at all)?
I like to read all chick lit...Shopaholic series, Something Borrowed, Something Blue series, etc.

4. What is the grossest thing you've ever eaten?
I do not eat gross things....ewww!!

5. If you HAD to be a character on a TV show, whom would you be?
That's a hard one....Charlotte from Sex and the City....wait! I AM her :)

It's Game Time!!

Woop-Woop! Thanks to the awesome site, www.houseparty.com. I got this box of goodies from the nice FedEx lady today. It came with three brand new games, six boxes of crackers, and candy. We are going to have a game night at our house on June 18...who's in??

Books, Cupcakes and Hats....oh my!!

I had the pleasure of making a cupcake tower for a local book signing last week. Taylor and I went to high school together and when she contacted me to make cupcakes for her, I jumped at the chance. She wrote the cutest children's book called "A Wig for Ally". Congrats Taylor!!
