Sally-2 months

Precious Baby Girl-

I honestly cannot believe that it has been 2 months already. People always say it goes fast...they were not kidding. These last 2 months have been the happiest of my life. I enjoy every precious moment with you. I am so glad that I have been able to be off work and spend so much time with you. Most days I just stare at you and I cannot believe that I am so lucky to have such a sweet and beautiful baby. I feel so lucky that God chose me to be your mama. You are growing and changing so much. I love you so much!!

Love,
Mommy

You have changed so much in the last month. You are still in newborn diapers, but the size 1 fit too. I am finishing up this last package of newborns and then we are on to size 1. You are growing out of your newborn clothes. You are wearing some 0-3 month and some 3 month clothes. Some of them are a little big but you are growing so fast, they will fit perfectly in no time at all.

Your 2 Month Stats:

Length: 21 inches- 29th Percentile

Weight: 8 lbs 12 ozs- 13th Percentile

Head Circumference: 37.5 cm - 53rd Percentile

You had your 2 month check-up yesterday and the Dr. said that you were doing great. You also got three shots today which you did not like one bit! You cried so hard and stuck your bottom lip out....poor baby! You cried such big tears until Mommy gave you a bottle. You rested the rest of the day. I don't think you felt very well. Poppy (grandfather) brought you some baby Tylenol.

You love bath time. You just stare at us smiling while Daddy pours warm water on you and Mommy soaps you up. You always cry when Daddy takes you out and hands you to me to dry off. Once you are wrapped up in your towel, you stop crying.

You have started smiling all the time and making sweet little noises. I love it so much!! It makes my heart melt when you smile at me. I tell you how beautiful you are all the time...you like it!

You have started sleeping better at night. We usually put you down around 9-10pm and you sleep until 4-5 am. I feed you a bottle and then we both go back to sleep until about 9am...it's the best sleep! You are still sleeping in our bedroom in the pack and play but we will be moving you to your crib soon....that's going to be hard for Mommy! I love being able to turn over and see you to make sure you are still breathing and not choking on your own spit-up!

You love your Sleep Sheep...pretty much any white noise puts you to sleep. You love music and hearing Mommy and Daddy sing to you.

You are eating VERY well! You eat 4-5 oz. every 3-4 hours during the day.

You celebrated you first Easter and wore the sweetest green and pink smocked dress. The Easter Bunny came and brought you your first Easter basket. You also went to church for the first time.

I love you so much! I tell you a million times a day how beautiful you are. Happy 2 Month Birthday Sweet Baby Girl!

Mama Must Haves.....Month 2

Mama Must Haves- Month 2
Yes, Sally is 2 months (on Wednesday of this week), but poor baby had her 2 month check-up and shots....yikes! She has not been feeling well ever since and therefore I have not had a happy baby to take a picture of in her cute 2 month owl sticker onesie. Hopefully we will get one today and I will post her 2 month stats. In the meantime, I wanted to post some things that have been SUPER helpful for us.

Sally on really cries if she is hungry or has gas. We give her a few drops of this magic potion and she feels better. Yay!

Our little Houdini has figured out how to wiggle her way out of the swaddling blankets. This velcro one keeps her snug and swaddled all night long

Sally cries when her paci falls out in the car. This monkey friend makes sure it stays put.

*Burp Cloths!!
We go through a lot of these everyday. These are my favorites from Etsy. I got them from here.

This baby has come in handy. Sally sits in it up on the couch to watch TV, or play/talk with us. She loves it and sometimes takes naps in it.

There are several versions of this CD and even a Pandora station. Sally loves music and she loves when we sing along. This helps put her to sleep if she is resisting.

We hand wash most of the bottles. This drying rack comes in handy and looks cute.

Fill In The Blank Friday!

1. Today is a good day because I'm spending time with Joe and Sally, getting some errands done and eating pizza for dinner .

2. The best thing I did all week was take my baby girl for a walk everyday. She loves being outside and hearing all the noises. I love this time together .

3. The current weather is cloudy and a little chilly and it makes me feel tired .

4. The best thing about spring is the beautiful flowers and chirping birds .

5. A fashion trend that I'm dying to try out for spring is colored shorts...if I can loose the rest of this baby weight.

6. A person who made me smile this week was my sweet baby girl. When she smiles, it makes my heart met! .

7. The most delicious thing I ate all week was gah....that's a tough one. It's hard to beat Cadbury Eggs and Reese's Eggs! I had Las Delicias though...that wins every time!

Hope you have a great weekend!

Fitness Friday {Week 6}

How did Week 6 go?
My goal this week was to
not snack after 8 pm. I did great with this goal. There were a few times that I really wanted a snack, but I told myself NO!

Was I active?
YES!! I walked 2 miles pushing Sally in the stroller almost everyday and then sometimes again in the evenings. Yesterday, Joe and I took Sally to Shelby Farms and we walked 3 miles on the paved trails. I am going to try and keep walking my 2 miles with Sally every morning and then do something else cardio related in the afternoon/evening (elliptical, treadmill, classes at the gym perhaps?).

Weight Loss?
I didn't loose any this week...boo! I am blaming it on the fact that I started my period (sorry if that is TMI).
I have decided to change my calorie goals on Livestrong. With this calorie goal, I should loose more weight.

Week 7 Goal?
No sweets. Yikes. This could be tricky especially with all of the delicious Easter candy that we have in our house.

Here are the rest of the goals:
Week 8- Do three sets of planks for 60 seconds each
Week 9- No starches (white potatoes, white breads, etc.)
Week 10- Only snack on heathy foods
Week 11- 20 push-ups each day
Week 12- Eat a salad each day (no creamy dressing)
Week 13- Eat a whole grain each day
Week 14- Take a walk each day
Week 15- Cook only "light or healthy" meals
Week 16- 50 jumping jacks each day
Week 17- Eat 3-5 servings of baked, steamed, or raw veggies
Week 18- Eat 2-4 servings of fruit
Week 19- Do 3 sets of abs each day

The Easter Bunny Came!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend. On Saturday night, we had my brother, his wife, and my dad over for dinner.
I made a yummy meal....

and the most delicious chocolate raspberry tart ever! If you want the recipe, it's on last weeks Meal Plan Monday.

On Sunday, we woke up bright and early and went to church. Did I mention that Joe works on Sunday and therefore had to work on Easter...yeah...it sucks! It was Sally's first time at church and she did such a great job!

Me and my brother with Sally

And look...the Easter bunny came!! When Joe got home we exchanged baskets. He got me 2 huge eggs. I was super curious to find out what was in them.
One of the eggs had some beautiful earrings that I had "pinned". I was so excited to get them!
The other egg had the biggest surprise of all...black Tory Burch flats...my husband (err...the Easter bunny) rocks!! I have been talking about wanting this color for awhile. Yay!
Of course Sally looked super adorable in her smocked pink and green dress. I could just eat her up! Its crazy to me that this time next year she will be walking around hunting Easter eggs.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

Thoughtful Thursday!
