Fabulous Fall Blog Challenge- Day #5

Have I mentioned that I love fall? Today's topic is "things I am looking forward to".

*I have a spa day planned while Joe is out of town at the beginning of the month...woo-hoo!

*I am meeting my girls at the beginning of October for a mini girls weekend. We will be attending our sorority's 50th anniversary dinner and will also be going to some homecoming activities at UT-Martin.

*Joe and I are going on our babymoon to Asheville, NC and will be bringing the dog with us....are we crazy?! I want him to experience a vacation before baby Sally comes.

*I am going to visit Sister Kristy in October and we are hitting up the Nashville Flea Market. Looking to find some neat things for the baby's room.

*Joe and I are going to see "Rain" in Oxford, MS at the end of October. If you like the Beatles....this is a must. This will be our third time to see it....it's that good!

*Halloween...need I say more? We don't have any exciting plans, but I am looking forward to candy and scary movies!

*Girls Weekend November in Jackson...all 5 of us will be there...yay!!

*Going to Minnesota for Thanksgiving :)

Happy Birthday Mollie!!

Happy Birthday to one of my oldest friends, Mollie!! We have been friends since 1st grade...that means we have been friends for 24 years....crazy!! We both love Pee Wee, so I thought this was appropriate :)

Fill In the Blank Friday

1. The best thing I did all week was walking 5 miles with Meredith and then going to Genghis Grill with Meredith, Ryan, and Joe (and baby Carol Hannah).

2. Dexter marathons with Joe make me super happy.

3. Pets are God's creatures and I believe that they go to heaven .

4. My husband is the best thing about my life.

5. With the cooler weather I am looking forward to making chili on Sundays while Joe watches football.

6. Something that's on my "wish list" right now is super swanky (and expensive) baby bedding .

7. This weekend I am going to be ridiculously lazy! Sleeping in, thrifting, yard sales, grocery, farmers market, target, baby shower for a friend .

Fabulous Fall Blog Challenge- Day #4

Today's topic is "Fall Decorating". I love getting the house ready for fall. Here is a table scape that I did last year.
Letterpress letters to spell out BOO and a spider candle holder

a stack of spooky books and a skull

spooky candle tree and haunted house

We have a super cool wooden witch that Joe made several years ago. We have always gotten so many compliments on her. She holds a broom and a lantern.

Here are some projects on my list this year:

Joe built me some beautiful window boxes and flower pots. I love the mums!!

Gender Reveal Dinner

We had some of our most special people in town over on Tuesday night for a Gender Reveal dinner. I made cupcakes of course and everyone had to bite to see if there was pink or blue in the middle.

My dad was super excited to find out...

It's a GIRL!!!

Joe and Nick eating dinner
Aunt Susan and Uncle Richard...this is the Aunt Susan that I
am always eating tacos with :)
I totally did not expect everyone to bring gifts...but they did :)
Meredith and Ryan got me the sweetest little gown.
Lindsey and Nick got me a super cute striped body suit. I need to find some hot pink pants for it.
Katelyn and Tyler got me the cutest burp cloth ever!
Aunt Susan and Uncle Richard got me a scarf (birthday gift)
and a sweet, soft lamb rattle and super cute monkey blanket. I felt so spoiled!! My dad bought me a sweet baby book too!
I just realized that I never got a picture of me and Joe...too much excitement!!
