Moske's Do Disney: Day 3

We headed to Animal Kingdom and got there right after opening. The park was already getting busy and it was hot!

I knew we needed to get over to Kilamanjaro Safari before it got too hot. I am so glad we did. The line was super short and the animals are always very active in the morning. Sally was so excited to see the elephants and giraffes!

After the safari, we went to see the Lion King show. It was just as fantastic as I remembered....do not miss this!

After that Joe and I took turns riding Kali river rapids. It was fun but we both got wet. We also rode Expedition Everest...one of our favorite rides. Here a little tip, if you dont mind riding with a stranger, the single rider line is always less than 5 minutes. Joe and I both rode twice in about 15 minutes!
Then we decided to break for lunch. We did the Yak and Yeti quick service and it was pretty good. At the end of lunch it started pouring! I was so glad I stopped at the $1 Tree before we left and picked up some ponchos. We also brought an umbrella and our stroller rental came with a free waterproof cover. We decided to just get wet and keep going.For some crazy reason, I thought it would be a good idea to wear flip flops and a sundress....not smart! I was already wet from the ride but it started pouring during lunch and shortly after, my inner thighs wee not happy :( Also, my Toms were some comfy and the flip flops were not. When something is working for comfort at Disney, do not change it...lesson learned!During a brief break in rain, we headed over to Dinoland and rode the Triceratops Spin. Joe and I also took turns riding Dinosaur. I really like that ride!

Honestly we did not get everything done that we wanted to. Our favorite ride is Everest and we each rode it 4-5 times. Between the rain, my inner thighs and the heat, we were done by 2.After a nap at the hotel, we got our rain gear ready and took the bus to Downtown Disney.Here is Sally being fussy because we wouldn't let her play with the umbrella.

We finally gave in.

We ate a quick service dinner at Wolfgang Pucks Express (really good!) and then walked around in the rain.

Sally loved the huge Disney store and had so much fun leading Joe around :)

*Realized there is not one picture of me....hey, someone has to be the photographer.

Tips for Animal Kingdom
*Bring a poncho to wear if you don't want to get wet on Kali River Rapids.

*Go to Kilamanjaro Safari first thing in the morning.

*Take advantage of the single rider line at Expedition Everest.

Five On Friday

Today I am linking up with Natasha, Darci, Christina, and April for Five on Friday. They are hosting an amazing giveaway this week.

{one}
We are heading to the beach tomorrow....a week full of shrimp, fruity drinks, sandcastles.....its good for the soul and I am hoping to comeback sun kissed :)

{two}
Although Christmas is still a few months away...preparations are already being made for fun activities. When I heard the play version of the classic movie was coming to town the weekend of Thanksgiving, I knew I had to get tickets. It will be the perfect way to kick off the holiday season!

{three}
I drank the Kool-Aid and bought the Emily Ley planner. It should be here by the time we get back from the beach. While it doesnt start until January, I cant wait to get it organized for 2015!

{four}
 I cannot believe that Halloween is just a few weeks away. I am going to be posting a house tour when we get back from the beach along with some teacher happies and treats for Sally's class.

{five}

No I'm not pregnant! There must be something in the water though...I knew at least 5 people who are expecting :) Yay for babies ;)

Moske's Do Disney: Day 2

Day 2 came and we hit the ground running. Although we didn't make it for the opening show, we got there right after opening and planned to get lots checked off our to-do list.

Here are Joe and Sally waiting for the bus at the hotel.

Upon entering the park, we immediately got our picture in front of the castle.

We rode Peter Pan before the line got too long...and believe me...it gets LONG!

We also rode Small World..which Sally loved of course!

Next up, we met Ariel....Sally was in awe!!

We were lucky to score last minute fast passes to meet Anna and Elsa. I was so excited!!

Here is Sally asking Anna where Olaf was :)

We rode the teacups...they made me dizzy!

She loved looking in all of the shops but did not fuss when we put everything back. ;)

We stopped for lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. This was our first time here and honestly, I was a little disappointed. The food was nothing amazing. I expected better from a sit down place.

Here are Joe and Sally being silly.

The main reason we wanted to try it? Dessert! The Ooey Gooey Toffee cake was really good!

After lunch, we hit up Tomorrow Land. Joe and I both rode Space Mountain again!

After that we headed back to the hotel and we all slept hard until about 4:30.  We freshened up, changed clothes and then we headed back to the park for a few more rides...Buzz Lightyear and People Mover.

I can't believe I didn't get a decent picture but I had on the cutest shirt from Emma and Allie Designs.

Sally's little Minnie shirt was from Old Navy.

We also bought Sally a $12 balloon :)

Then it was time for dinner, so we took the monorail over to the Polynesian Resort to eat at O'Hana.

When we got there, we had a little wait so Joe got us some fruity drinks at the bar. I was thirsty and it tasted so good that I got a little sick...but it was nothing some delicious O'Hana food couldn't fix. We had never eaten here and LOVED it! Its definitely a must do on every trip from now on!

They bring you pot stickers, wings, lettuce wraps, noodles, grilled meats, pineapple bread....so much good food! It's all you can eat so make sure you go hungry. While dinner does not have characters, they do have some fun activities for the little ones. Sally was in a coconut/broom race and had so much fun!

For dessert they bring out the most delicious bread pudding with bananas foster sauce and ice cream...so good! They brought Sally a cupcake ;)

After dinner, we decided to head back to Magic Kingdom for the fireworks. They were amazing but it was raining the whole time.

Even though we were soaking wet, it was still magical.

We drug ourselves back to the hotel. We were beat after logging over 15 miles on my Fitbit!

Up Next....Animal Kingdom!!

*Here is a little tip: Make sure you get a button if you are celebrating something. They are totally free and sometimes you may get extra magic because of it.

Five On Friday

{one}

There is just something about Fall that makes my heart happy. The crisp air, sound of football on the tv and chili cooking on the stove means that the holidays are just around the corner. It all puts me in the best mood.

It has been cooler here in Memphis and our trip last week to Minnesota made me yearn for weather when I can wear my scarves and boots.

I want to take walks while the leaves crunch under my feet and the trees are a blaze in color.

I want to get a caramel apple spice from Starbucks.

I want to decorate my front porch with pumpkins.

I want to make pumpkin and apple treats.

{two}
We are heading to Nashville today. Girls weekend to see Frozen on ice :)

{three}
Next weekend we head to the beach! The though of having a week of sand between my toes is making me a very happy girl!

{four}
I am slowly getting my Disney trip report done. We had the best time and already booked a trip for next year...with FREE DINING! Time to start planning the next trip ;)

{five}
I have had a lot of fun making Sally's lunches lately :)

She loves them!
