A little over a year ago, Joe and I had the idea that Sally really needed a playhouse in the backyard. If you know my hubby at all, you know that any store bought playhouse just wouldn't do.
So he sat down and drew a plan. We scoured Pinterest and took elements from several different houses that I had saved. After several trips to the hardware store, he got started. His parents were in town for the weekend so his stepdad helped and they got a lot done. The first thing that they did was build a platform for the house to go on. Then they framed it out. Here are some progress pictures.
We used galvanized corrugated metal. Joe built the cutest door and windows from scratch and even put in window boxes.
After planting some flowers, the house was almost done! We added the numbers 390 on the front since that was the address of our first house.
Sally loves watering her flowers!
Here is a shot of the inside. We added a loft with the cutest little ladder. I took Sally's old crib mattress and my mother in law helped make some pillows so Sally could have a snuggle spot in the top. Its actually pretty comfortable.
We also brought Sally's play kitchen out there so she would have her house all set up :) I know its something she will enjoy for years to come!!
