Hey Everybody! I am so excited to share Sally's 3rd birthday party with you today. It was so fun putting it together. Am I the only one who plans parties a year in advance? I knew I wanted to do this theme pretty much the minute the 2nd birthday was over. I love the pink and gold theme and decided to add in some mint too. It think it was just precious.
Here are the invites. I ordered them from Etsy and then printed them myself at Kinkos.
I set up a little table in the dining room. I downloaded the sign from etsy and then had it enlarged into poster size at Kinkos.
On the table I put some DIY lace golden crowns. A gold glittered votive that held bobby pins and a hand mirror that I spray painted gold for the littles to admire themselves in. I also put the magic wands in a clear vase.
For drinks I had a container of orange juice and one of pineapple juice. I also found the most amazing gold glitter champagne bottles in case anyone wanted to make a mimosa. I used my fabulous glass bottles with paper straws and hot glued a glitter heart on each bottle.
For the food table I actually used wrapping paper (from Home Goods) on the wall. I made a banner using cardstock and gold glitter stickers from Hobby Lobby. The big pink balloons are from Hobby Lobby too. For food we servied doughnut holes, fruit salad, mini yogurt parfaits, chick-fil-a nuggets on rolls, mini cinnamon rolls and sausage balls.
For the favors, I bought magnetic ABC magnets and spray painted them gold. I packaged them up and made a cute little tag. I love favors that kids can actually use.
A shot of the paper products...all from Target and Wal-Mart.
Here was the set up in the living room. I made the tissue paper banner. I had a grand vision to have the clear balloons filled with tissue paper but we blew them up the night before and by the party, they had started deflating :( I sent Joe to get the regular pink balloons blown up the morning of the party.
On the mantle I had a few pictures of Sally and some fabulous art from Hobby Lobby. The colors matched the party perfectly!

Sally had so much fun opening her presents...there was definitely a theme...all things princesses and mermaids!!
After presents we sang Happy Birthday and ate cake. The cake was amazing!! It cam from Brown Baguette in Horn Lake and although it was a little pricey, it was totally worth it. Some of the best cake I have ever had!
Here are some of my DIY projects for the party.
I made wands for all the girls. I bought these stars during Christmas. They were actually ornaments that came in packs of 3 for $2 from Target. I have been planning this party for months so I bought them for this purpose. I hot glued them in wooden rods that I painted gold and then I added some ribbon for fun.
I bought a wooden number 3 from Walmart...glittered it and hot glued to a wooden rod. It was perfect on top of her cake.
I also made little gold star toothpicks....just used a little star paper punch hot glued onto toothpicks. I put modge podge on a mason jar and glittered it. I dipped the forks on modge podge too....glitter just makes everything better!
I seriously cannot believe that my sweet baby girl is 3 years old!! Where does the time go?!
