For my brother and Michelle's shower last weekend, I gave them 12 gifts. One for each month of the year. I tried to make the gifts go with the theme of the month. Here is what I gave them for each month.
January: a homemade cookbook containing my favorite recipes
February: a garlic peeler and one of my favorite books "All About Us"
March: an iron cross
April: Spring Cleaning Stuff
May: a picnic basket with plates, cups and napkins
June:?? I can't remember :)
July: various grill spices and rubs
August: a meal planner and file folder organizer
September:gardening gloves
October: Halloween kitchen towels and a trick or treat bowl
November: my favorite fal smelling candle and a cracker tin (it's an inside joke)
December: silver plate chargers

What??!! A girl can wish can't she?? OK, seriously....here are some things on my Christmas list.

a mandolin slicer

a fabulous bag!!

Lush bath bombs.....yummy!

some gold leaf earrings to replace the ones I had that finally broke

a few of my favorite childhood movies that came out on DVD recently

a kitchen compost bin and all the filters, bags, etc. that go along with it

Maybe the Mayans were right all along....

On Friday evening, Joe and I took my dad to see the new movie 2012. I liked the movie. The special effects were very cool, but it was not very believable. I told Joe that if the end of the world comes like that, we are going to sit on the couch and have a drink :)

Finally...

So...a few days ago, I decided it was time to get down my winter clothes and pack up the summer stuff. Since I was already going to have a BIG mess to clean up, I thought, "Why not clean/organize the closet?". Here are some before and after pics....hope you are inspired to do yours too!

hmmmmm.....English cucumbers and hummus when I am being healthy and peanut butter M&M's when I'm not :)

I feel so yucky if I do not take off my make up...plus I do not want to get it on my nice sheets. I clean my face EVERY night!


9. Do you have a hidden talent or a deep desire to learn something that you've never had a chance to learn? What is it?

I want to learn how to snowboard!


10. What's one strange thing you're really good at?
throwing parties, being crafty, writing thank you notes


11. What first attracted you to your spouse?
His sense of humor and sexy eyes!

Joe's back where his dragonfly tattoo is, apple cider, campfires

I am not scared to tell them what I think!

pay off the credit card

I like to laugh out loud. I can always get a laugh watching "The Soup".

Travel

It depends on what it is.....I LOVE a bargain, but I am not afraid to spend if it's something I need and will last a while
