"I love to take a photograph, Mama don't take my Kodochrome away...."

So anyone who has ever been to our house knows that Joe and I are a bit narcissistic....we have pictures of ourselves all over the place. But we do not have any kids yet...who else are we going to look at??!! We have been wanting to get some pictures taken in downtown Memphis for awhile and this super photographer is going to do them. She is so talented and has the exact style that I am wanting. She also happens to be as cute as pie :) Put in in your planners people. We are getting the pictures taken on August 30...please no rain!

ATL with the Girls!

"You know what trouble I's talkin' 'bout. I's talking 'bout Mr. Ashley Wilkes. He'll be comin' to Atlanta when he gets his leave, and you sittin' there waitin' for him, just like a spider."
-Mammy (Gone With the Wind)

This is my favorite quote about Atlanta and that's exactly where we went for Girl's Weekend last week. I drove up to Kristy's on Friday and we rode together to Atlanta. First though, we had to stop at IKEA for me to stock up on a new scrapbook desk and accessories. We finally made it to Abigail's house. On Saturday, we went to Six Flags White Water. We spent the whole day there going down water slides and running around like little kids. For dinner, we went to Cinco, an upscale Mexican place...yummy! On Sunday, me, Kristy and Abigail went to the outlet mall and then Kristy and I drove back to Nashville. On Monday, Kristy and I went antique shopping in downtown Franklin and ate a good ole' fashion southern lunch at Puckett's Grocery. I always have the best time with these girls and I am so glad we make a point of getting together.

The Best Vacation...EVER!!

For our 3rd Anniversary, Joe and I went on a 7 night cruise to the Southern Caribbean. We left out of San Juan, Puerto Rico and were fortunate enough to have the chance to explore the city before the ship left. San Juan was really nice. I would love to come back and vacation there.

St. Thomas

Today was our first day in port...St. Thomas. We headed to Magen's bay with our new friends, Steve and Yolanda. It was listed in the book, 1,000 Places To See Before You Die. It was so beautiful! Joe and I snorkeled and rented a sea kayak. We saw sea turtles and found a conch shell.

Dominica

Today Joe and I woke up with adventure in our bones. We went river tubing and swam in a waterfall in Dominica. The tubing was so fun, but a little scary in some parts. We also stopped at the famous, "Mr. Nice Fruit Stand" to sample all kinds of local fruit. This was my kind of stop! We were so tired by the end of the day.

Barbados

Today was one of my favorite days of the trip. I booked Joe and I on a 5 hour catamaran ride/snorkel trip with Shasa Catamarans. It was awesome!! They picked us up on a beach and there were only 12 of us on the tour. We snorkeled over a shipwreck and swam with sea turtles.....and then our underwater camera broke!!! Oh well.... We had a yummy lunch and drinks and then Joe and jumped ship and swam to shore. We found lots of shells and sea glass. It was like we had our own private island. I felt so pampered!!

St. Luica

Today was a really fun day in St. Lucia. When researching our trip on Cruise Critic, everyone said that if you go to St. Lucia, you MUST take a tour with Cosol. Well...they were RIGHT!! We had an awesome time. Here is a list of all the stuff that we did:

*Drive through the Capital of St. Lucia, Castries and, enjoy a brief discourse on the history of the city and people of St. Lucia.
*Stop at Morne Fortune for a overlook of the scenic northern side of the island, including the port.
*Catch a glimpse of the Governor’s House.
*Stop at beautiful Marigot Bay, the site where “Dr. Doolittle” the movie was filmed.
*Drive through a native Banana Plantation, learn about the harvest and history process, and sample St. Lucia local bananas that are smaller in size and sweeter in taste to traditional bananas.
*Stop at the fishing villages of Anse La Raye and Canaries. Enjoy shopping for local crafts and delicacies.
*Experience the flora and fauna of St. Lucia at the Toraille Botanical Gardens.Visit Soufriere, the second largest town and swim in the Toraille Waterfall and soak in the exotic fragrences of the Botanical Garden.
*Enjoy a visit to the Sulphur Springs, the only drive-in volcano in the Caribbean. Sample the a local johnny cake and taste a savory fish cake covered in native banana ketchup.
*View the magnificent Piton Mountains.
*Drive back to the north of the island and enjoy freshly baked bread, hot out of the a local stone oven. Stop at the Straw Market in Castries, and Duty Free Shopping areas.
