4th of July

We started celebrating the night before. We had a wonderful time at Pops in the Park at Levitt Shell. They passed out flags and Sally had so much fun!

That night I got the house all festive.

I put up the reclaimed wooden flag that I painted.

I also decorated our breakfast area....flag banner from Hobby Lobby, a free printable from Pinterest, Sally's flag that she painted, red and white polka dot fabric and a mason jar full of flags...easy peasy!

Here is a close up of Sally's flag she painted for our craft this week.

I also hung the new wreath that I made.

On the 4th we had a great breakfast. I made homemade waffles with blueberries and strawberries and whipped cream. I also added some sprinkles for Sally.

That afternoon we went to a pool party. I made dessert...Carmelitas and Peanut Butter Cup Rice Krispy Treats. They were both really yummy!

I also made guacamole.

After the pool party we went to my Aunt's house to celebrate some more and watch fireworks.

Sally loved the fireworks and called them "sparkles". :)

Summer Adventures: Week 5

Here is a wrap up of last weeks activities. We had a few changes (for the best)! It was actually a pretty eventful week.

We picked cherry tomatoes at Poppy's house

and ate them ;)

We drew with sidewalk chalk.

We sported our first top knot.

We went to Story Time.

We played on the "big girl" playground and got to sit on Ya-Ya's bench.

We had a mall date with Aunt Meredith and Carol Hannah. We rode the carosel (twice), ate lunch at Chick-fil-a, went to the Disney Store and got Marie the cat, got Little Mermaid and Frozen pajamas, and played on the indoor play area. It was really fun!

We went out to dinner and then to the Levitt Shell.

We painted flags.

We had a tea party.

We went to see Sesame Street Live!

Sally's quilt was done so we were able to go pick it up and put it on her bed. We also made her a tee-pee. I will be sharing the tutorial for that soon.

Here are some pictures.
