A House Remembered And Some Exciting News!

We bought a house!!! I cannot believe ours sold so fast ( 2 days!!). I was so anxious and nervous about not having a place to live, so we put our house hunt on the fast track. We went to look at a house one Friday afternoon (in Germantown of all places). I loved it the minute we walked in. It has a lot of character unlike a lot of Germantown houses. We will be less than a mile from the school where I work, my dads house and the lady who keeps Sally everyday. It is a very family friendly, super safe neighborhood. It is pretty updated but we will be re-doing the kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room, etc. We may even be putting in a pool over the next year!! Stay tuned for a lot of projects! We will be moving the last weekend of September. Before we pack up the whole house (ugh!) I want to make sure to document each room of our first house. I will be sharing pictures and taking videos so that Sally will always be able to see the sweet house where mommy and daddy lived and where we brought her home. I LOVE our current house and have shed many tears over this move, but I know it has to happen sooner or later. I am excited about the next chapter in our lives and being in the house where we will raise our little family.

We decided to keep the original sink and floor. I love the vintage touches!! I painted the medicine cabinet black and added some art. Joe also put subway tile in the bathtub/shower.

Oh, Hello!

Seriously ya'll, it has been so long since I blogged (besides my ever exciting Meal Plan Monday post). Life has been crazy and throwing curve balls left and right. Work has started back for me and that means that my little monkey girl has to go to the babysitters. She is doing great, but it's hard to get everything ready the night before and then get both of us out of the door in the mornings. I am exhausted!! Being a working mama is tough! The start of a new school year is super fun, but REALLY busy!! I feel like I have a million things to do everyday. We also put our house on the market and had a contract on it within 2 days. TWO DAYS!! That is amazing. I know I think our house is amazing, but there is obviously someone else out there who agrees. I am super sad to move (and have cried/blubbered) several times, but I know it is time for the next step in our lives. Do we have another house yet? Nope...and that freaks me out!! We don't have to be out of our house until the end of September, but I am still stressed about finding another house. Please pray for me and know that I will be back on the blogging bandwagon soon!
