Keeping It Fun!

I saw the cutest idea a few weeks on The Dating Divas blog. They have all the printables that you need (free!!). All you do is fill in the cards and get some of your man's favorite treats.

Day 1-

Nibs(his favorite!!), with the first card and also instructions stating that he must present the cards to me in order to get his date.

Day 2- Milky Ways and a note

Day 3- Beef Jerky and wart remover...haha...he needed some :)

Day 4- Candy!!

Day 5- Beer

Joe really liked getting all the treats and cards. I liked being able to show him how much I love him...it's the little things, right?!

Bouquet of the Month-August

I love these little yellow daisies. These were my free bouquet of the month from Holiday's flowers. I decided to split it up into 3 bud vases and scatter them through the house.

Here is one on the side table in the living room.

Here is another on another table in the living room.

I also put one on my kitchen windowsill. I forgot to take a picture of that one....just a little happy in some of my rooms.

Date Night!!

It was my turn to plan our first date night. I knew I wasn't going to make it to the gym that day, so I decided we needed an "active" date. I told Joe to put on some workout clothes and then I drove us to Shelby Farms. We walked the trails for about an hour. The weather was perfect!

Here is the hubby on a trail.

I saw a beautiful butterfly. It even landed on my shirt at one point.

Then it flew away and landed in a tree....boo!

I love the lilypads!!

After our little hike, we went to dinner down the road at Moe's. It just so happens that I had a coupon for a free entree that they sent me for my b-day.

My favorite thing about Moe's....the salsa bar!!

It was a nice date...nothing fancy...just something a little different than the normal Thursday night-sitting on the couch watching Jersey Shore.

Funny Video Friday!!

The girl with the funny arms makes me CRACK UP!!

If You Really Knew Me...

-I love ALL music...seriously. My ipod is a little embarrassing. When on shuffle, you could hear anything from Three Six Mafia to Disney to Aerosmith to Mozart.

-I can be shy around new people...sometimes it comes across as snobby, but I'm not! It just takes a little while for you to see the "true Sarah".

-I get bored and stare off into space when someone is talking to me and I am not interested in what they are saying. Joe gets frustrated with me and says that I need to act interested....sorry, not gonna happen. I would rather spend my time talking to someone about something I like.

-I make up songs about my dog, Hank, almost daily! Some titles include "Hank, You're a Crazy Dog", "Hank-y, You Don't Have To Put On the Red Light", "Hankie, Loves His Mummy!!". etc.

-My family and friends are the best!!

-I get VERY crabby when I am hungry or sleepy.

-I worry all the time...ALL THE TIME!! The things I worry about most are animals. My current obsession is thinking about mice that get stuck in those sticky traps. I imagine them being so scared and just dying there. I imagine people just tossing the whole thing in the trash, setting it on fire, etc. YIKES!! I am getting worked up just thinking about it. PLEASE tell me you have not committed this horrible mouse crime!! I probably need medication...

-I always cry when I watch Beaches, The Notebook and Steel Magnolias. I also cry whenever I hear the song, "Stop This Train" by John Mayer. It makes me think of my mom. She used to play it when she was sick and I would put my head in her lap and cry :(

-I am convinced that I missed my calling to be on Broadway...I'm a pretty god singer :)

-I have never had a speeding ticket!!

-I subscribe to over 21 magazines a month!!

-I believe in ghosts, angels, demons, big foot, etc. We have a little girl ghost in our attic and Joe and I have both have several experiences.

-I LOVE anything hot pink and lime green!!

-I truly believe that I was on the Titanic and died and have been reincarnated.

-I hate CHEESE!!
