Some Recent Purchases :)

Just wanted to share a few things I have bought for the house (and myself) recently :) This cute shirt is from Kohl's. It's LC by Lauren Conrad and is super cute with dark skinny jeans.

I found this one at TJ Maxx :)

These gold flip flops are from Banana Republic and while they were expensive ($40) as far as flip flops go, they are comfy! The ones I have like this from Target/Old Navy have flat, hard soles and hurt my feet. These have built in cushioning.

Joe and I found this frame at Pier One on clearance. I added some pics from our travels. There is one spot left....I am just looking for the perfect picture. This would be so easy and fun to make with an old window or door.

While at Target last night, Joe and I stumbled upon this cute lamp. I love the cottage/vintage look of it. This is a lamp shade we already had and TOTALLY doesn't work... I am on the look out for a new one...burlap maybe??!!

I have been wanting some glasses like this for awhile, so when I found a set at Tuesday Morning, I had to snag them up!! They are so beachy!!

Donna Martin Graduates!!

Thursday: Mongolian Chicken and rice
Friday: grab a bite somewhere

Sunday: Meatloaf, Mac and Cheese, Green Beans, Salad, Rolls

In other news, Joe is starting to work the midnight shift....8 P.M. to 4 A. M...yuck!! I just got used to having him sleep in the bed again and I will now be going to bed alone almost every night. BOO!! He will be off on Saturdays and Sunday so that is good news, but Saturday morning he will have to sleep in until at least noon or one. I guess I will be going to the Farmer's Markets and scarpbooking ...sounds good to me!

As Joe went to work attacking the bamboo that is slowly invading our yard, Hank decided to do his best impression of a panda....eating Bamboo!!

Bouquet of the Month

The big white flowers in the galvanized bucket were my monthly bouquet. The yellow and white daisies were used on a dessert buffet that I did. I used random jelly, honey, and spaghetti jars for the little vases :)

Put some Windex on it and say OPA!!

One of my favorite events every year in Memphis is the Greek Festival. Ever since Joe and I went to Greece on our honeymoon, I have been in love with all things Greek. Heck, I wish I was Greek...some people think we look Greek and we never correct them....shhhhhh...don't tell!

Eating is a big part of the festival....Greek Pizza..mmmmmmm....

Central Avenue Dog-Face

We found this cutie in the middle of Central Avenue....not a good place for a puppy! It was no question whether or not we would take her. She is so sweet and just wants love and attention. If you know anyone looking for a new member of the family, please let me know. She needs a FOREVER home.
