Sally's Fairy Party

Hey Friends!
Having 2 kids is no joke. People who have more than 2.....I bow down. I have been so crazy just keeping up with laundry and booking Disney trips. I was laying in bed last night and feeling a little sad that I havent kept up with my blog like I used to. It has always been a little scrapbook of our lives and I feel like I have missed so much. So.....I am going to go back and blog about some things from that last year that I never got around to doing. So, just bear with me.

First up is Sally's 5th birthday party.

I ordered the cutest invitations from Sunshine Parties. I was a little disappointed that they couldn't make the fairy's hair blonde to match Sally but they still turned out really cute!

I'll be honest and tell you that when I first started planning this party, I had visions of red mushrooms and woodland creatures and by the time party day had rolled around I had changed the look into a floral and pastel thing.

I made a wreath using a simple grapevine wreath from Hobby Lobby. I hot glued some moss and fake butterflies onto it. I also made some mushrooms by painting half styrofoam balls pink and gluing on felt dots. I rolled up some white yardstick for the stem. They turned out really cute.

I took a old ton can and hot glued a sheet on moss and butterflies on it to hold forks.

Here is the food table. I love the way it turned out!!

I made these cute little doughnut hole hedgehogs and chocolate acorns using pinterest pictures for inspiration.

I ordered a simple white cake from a local bakery and added on my own fake flowers and a butterfly. I found an image of a fairy online and traced it onto silver glitter yardstick to make a topper for the cake.

This little hedgehog cheese ball turned out so cute!!

I had little tables set up for a craft. I bought little birdhouses at Michaels for $1 each and cut off the rope at the top. I did a light coat of white spray paint on the houses. Each place has a bag with pieces of moss for the roof, fake flowers, mushrooms, a butterfly and ladybug and some glass stones. I also had fairy wings and a flower crown at each place setting. The girls looked precious!!

I also hired a face painter to come and paint all the girls up like fairies. They had so much fun!!

Happy 5th Birthday my Sweet Girl!!

Henry Nine Months

Happy 9 Months sweet boy!!

Henry can sit up in a shopping cart like a big boy. He is also crawling down the hall like crazy. Time for a baby gate!!

Henry said "dada" but its not consistent.

We celebrated your first Valentines Day :)

Grandma and Grandpa came in town and we went to the park where I pushed Henry on the swing for the first time. He loved it!!

Henry learned how to do "SO BIG!!".

Henry is pulling up on everything and is STILL not sleeping through the night but has the sweetest smile when I come get him after his nap.

Henry 8 Months

8 Months Was A Big Month!! So many changes going on with my little man!!

Here are the weekly pictures.

Henry now sits in the bathtub. Thank goodness for this wonderful bath seat! He loves being able to take a bath with Sissy!!

We had a light dusting of snow. Of course Sally wanted to put on her boots and go outside. Henry was trying to figure it all out.

He started sitting up so well!! Now there is no stopping this boy!!

Changing his diaper has become tricky. He always tries to grab his globe and flip over.

I got an robot for Christmas and we named him Carl. Henry loves to watch him.

Henry is now able to hold his own bottle which is nice!

He also started crawling and standing up....he can now pull up in his crib so we had to lower the mattress.

Look at him standing like such a big boy!! I have a feeling he will take his first steps before he turns 1.

Catch Up Time....Henry 7 Months

Since Henry just turned 10 months, I figured it was about time to update the ole' blog :)

Here are the weekly pictures. I had a lot of fun dressing him up for the holidays.

Dont let this happy face full you...he had a terrible cold and an ear infection. He also had a flu shot. Not fun at all!! I felt like overtime he would get better, a few days later he was stuffy again.

I still put him down on his back to sleep but he started rolling over onto his tummy to sleep which makes me nervous!

Henry gets so excited to see Sally in the morning. She always says "Hi Guy!" and he gets the biggest smile on his face.

Henry almost rolled out of the Rock N Play...crazy boy!! Time to retire this thing!

Henry met Santa for the first time. He didn't cry which was good!!

Henry really started squawking....he has definitely found his voice! He also reaches for me when he wants me to pick him up.

Henry went on his first walk sitting up like a big boy.

Mommy dressed Henry up for a Memphis tigers watching party.
