Five On Friday

{one}

The past 2 months have been wonderful with two kids...but also very tiring. I think we tend to block out the sleepless nights when deciding to have another baby lol. As much as I would like to say we could possibly have 3 kids, I know that is simply not the case.  I feel so very blessed to have two beautiful and healthy children and I now know that Henry has completed our family.

{two}
I'm excited that the next few months have me doing a lot of traveling. Disneyland in August, Disney World in September and now this:

We have been invited to our good friends wedding...in the Hamptons! We are heading up there for a long weekend in October and I am so excited. Little man is staying with the bestie and Sally is going to come with us. Its been about 7 years since we were up there last and I cant wait to explore the area with her.

We are going to stay a few extra days in the city and have some fun things planned.

Thanks to Joe's Hilton points, we are staying at the super swanky and historic Waldorf Astoria!! I'm hoping to hit up the Empire State Building, Staten Island Ferry, the huge Toys R Us (so very sad they  closed FAO Schwartz!), Serendipity, Central Park, etc. Its going to be so fun!!

Oh and I maybe booked a Disney cruise for fall of 2017 last week too!

I am so very excited for the kickoff of my MOPS group. I am the craft coordinator again this year and already have so many fun things planned. We had our retreat last weekend and it was a blast seeing all my sweet friends and planning for the year.

{four}
I started back with my running a few weeks ago thanks to a Women's Walk/Run program here in town. Of course I'm running with my favorite running buddy (cousin/friend Meredith). I will say that it is SO hot. Why can't they do this program in the fall or winter. Anyways, between running and going back to my dance classes at the gym, I have lost 5 pounds. I have been doing weight watchers but honestly havent been following it as closely as I should. Still, every week the scale goes down a little....so I'll take it!!

Joe got a new truck! He pretty much had this same one but it wasn't as big and was pretty cramped holding two carseats in the back. My poor knees were right up against the dashboard (not safe!) to make room for Henry behind me.

Recent Purchases That I LOVE!!

I wanted to share some recent purchases that I love with y'all. No I didn't get any of these for free. I just really do like them!!

First up, have you been to Hobby Lobby lately? They have really stepped up their game!! I will say that its a little sad to see them almost copying some of the small businesses that I love so much, but I do love the cheaper price. I got this sign and its perfect. Its hanging on the stairs near our front door.

Next up, we have the Chuck Taylor "shoreline" sneakers. I have the regular ones but these are slip on and much more comfy. Get them here.

I first bought this in white but immediately went back and purchased the black and red ones too!

These fringe hoop earrings are so cute and go with everything! Get them here.

When I saw these shoes, I knew they would be perfect for our Disney trips.

I also got this adorable shirt from etsy.

This is my newest necklace that seems to go with everything! Find it here

I have been asked a lot where I got the tassel on my bag that I carry a lot. Its from Thailand and you can get it on etsy. I will say that its important to request what color elephant you want and also what color you want the tassels to be. Find it here.

Happy Shopping!!

Henry {One Month}

On June 25, we celebrated Henry being here for one whole month. The past month has been a blur of smiles, no sleep and a whole lot of poop lol! Time is just flying by and I can honestly say that he is the sweetest baby. He cries when he is hungry, cold or is pooping. I think he is going to be a good baby like Sally was...yay!

Here is a little recap on the first month of his life:

Sleep: He takes little mini naps during the day, a longer one in the late afternoon, sleeps from about 9-midnight and then is us every few hours to eat. Our sleep on the other hand.....yikes! I forgot how tiring it is getting up all night with a baby.

Weight: He is up to 7 pounds and 9 ounces (which is over a 2 pound gain!)

Daily Routine: No routine yet but I have started seeing some patterns forming.

Feeding: I decided to try breastfeeding again but unfortunately I wasn't producing enough milk. So I am using formula again and its going well. I'll be honest...its so nice that Joe can help feed him! He eats all day. I like to call him a little piggy!

Diapers: Newborn Pampers Swaddlers

Clothing Size: Still in Newborn but they are getting a little tight

Eye Color: Bluish Gray

Hair Color: Dark brown

Milstones:
5/25-Born! 5lbs, 7 ounces and 20 inches long
5/26-First bath {at the hospital}
5/26- Home!
5/29-First Pool Party
5/31-Newborn Photos
6/1- First doctor's appt. {weight 5lbs 8 oz.)
6/3-First visit to Children's Museum
6/6-First visit to the zoo

Nicknames: Little Man, Brother, Buddy and Sally calls him "Little Acorn"

Now for the weekly photos:

Sweet Baby Henry-
I was so nervous about having a boy. I worried that I wouldnt know what to do with you. Would it be different than having a girl? Im sure the answer to that question is yes but for now I know I love you so much! Since you are my second baby (and complete our family) I know that I need to cherish every sweet moment with you...even the middle of the night feedings. You have already changed our family so much (for the better) and I cant wait to have many adventures with you!

Five On Friday

{one}
I am so very excited because I was invited to attend a special agent training in Disneyland. Its been about 8 years since I was at Disneyland....the place where it all started...and I can wait to check it out. I have decided to stay one extra night to explore and hubby is going to hold down the fort back home :)

{two}
Operation "Loose the Baby Weight" is on. I go to the Dr for my 6 week check up and cant wait to hear the go ahead to return to the gym.

I also started Weight Watchers on Monday. So far, so good. I love the flexibility of it. You get so many points per day and you can eat what you want, but once the points are gone each day, you are done. It has really made me realize how many points my old foods were...can you believe a packet of salad dressing from Chick-fil-a is 10 points?! Thats a third of my daily points...no more salads at Chick-fil-a for me!

{three}

I am hosting a paint party on July 30 for any of you local girls. We are making these cute Back to School door hangers and the cost is $25.

{four}

Did anyone else have these neat charm necklaces when they were little. Well guess what? Michaels has started selling something similar and I cant wait to start buying them for Sally!

{five}

Aunt Kristy came to meet Henry this week and it was so nice having her here even if it was just for the day. I love how we can just pick up like we havent been apart.
