Five On Friday

Happy Friday!! Get ready for a random assortment of updates!

{one}
I snagged this beauty from a local resale site for just $25. Having on old church pew in my house has been on the list of wants for a while. It started out light colored and 9 feet long. My handy hubby cut it down, sanded it and stained it. Im trying to find some pillows to add to it but I love it!!

{two}
The weather has been gorgeous here and I am trying to soak up every last minute with my sweet girl while she is still the only child. She is excited to be a big sister but in all honesty, her world is about to be rocked so I want quality time with her.

We went strawberry picking.

We painted a fairy house.

We have just been enjoying the weather and our beautiful yard. She loves playing in her playhouse, jumping on the trampoline and playing on her "magic trail" with her fairy garden.

{three}

She loves her friends Sophie and Caroline and they got pet chickens so she thinks that is pretty cool.

Last Friday was especially hard in the Moske house. After having our dog, Hank, for 14 years, we had to put him to sleep. It was one of the hardest decisions we have ever had to make but we know if it was the right one. Aside from being old (15 years old!) and a big boy (95 lbs), he was having a lot of trouble getting around. His back legs had been giving out and on Thursday he snagged his toenail on something and totally ripped it off. We knew this day was coming for a few months but after that injury, he was unable to walk at all.

Poor thing was miserable :( We just couldn't bear to watch him suffer. He had a mobile vet come to the house and do it and with a belly full of cheeseburgers, he took his last breath listening to the Beatles. We had him cremated and Joe is going to build a bit for his ashes. After loosing my mother, its probably the hardest thing we have ever been through. Pets truly are part of the family and he was our first child. The house feels very empty without him...

We got to see our sweet boy this week. I am 36 weeks!! I can't believe that he will be here soon. This pregnancy has truly gone by super fast!

Big Sister Interview

With the impending arrival of Baby Henry in about 5-6 weeks, I have been soaking up every moment with my precious girl. I know she is going to be a great big sister but I also know her world is about to be rocked having to share the attention of Mommy and Daddy. I want her to know how much we love her and that she will always be our special first born. I can't imagine every loving another baby as much as I love her. My friends who have multiple children tell me that true heart grows and somehow you love the second baby as much as the first.

I wanted to take a minute to sit with her and ask her these questions. Here are her answers.

33 Weeks.....The Best and Worst Things About Being PregnantIm

I'm sitting here watching the new NBC show, STRONG, and already planning my "get healthy after baby strategy". I have been feeling pretty good but am ready to not have this extra weight on me. I cannot believe I am 33 weeks pregnant and that I will be having baby boy in a little over a month. That's just crazy! It seems like this pregnancy has just flown by. I have really been trying to enjoy it and savor the feelings and moments because this may be the last time I get to experience it.

The Best Things About Pregnancy:
*Not having to "suck it in"
When you are pregnant you are supposed to have a baby bump :)

*Feeling the baby move and kick
 It is seriously an amazing thing that a tiny human is growing inside of me. I feel him moving the most when I lay down for bed at night. I know I will miss this a little bit when he is born.

*Nesting
Joe and I have been working hard to clean the house, the yard...everything. We have been using this time to finish up the projects that we have been wanting to finish and also starting a few new ones. I am super lucky to have a handy hubby who is always looking forward to the next DIY.

*Getting new baby stuff
A friend was selling her Halo baby bed and we jumped on it. I am excited to put Henry in this when he is sleeping in the room with us. Sally has been using it to put her babies to sleep.

I have also done a few crafts. One was this fabric covered wipes container for the diaper bag. I followed a tutorial on youtube and it was super easy.

I've been buying more baby clothes from a few girls I have met that share my same style when it comes to dressing little boys.

A local store hosted a baby shower for expectant mommies and they had the best favor bags. I love free stuff!

*Seeing my hubby play with Sally
He is seriously the best daddy.

And now for the Worst Parts About Pregnancy:

*Swollen Fingers
The wedding rings have come off :(

*Sleep
I was sleeping pretty well up until a few weeks ago. I am now taking Unisom (with my Dr's approval) and it has helped a lot. I have also experience restless arms and it sucks. I had it with Sally and the only thing that helps is hugging a heating pad.  I am normally a side sleeper but I like to put a little pressure on my tummy so that has been an adjustment too.

*Working Out
Before I got pregnant, you could find me at the gym about 5 days a week. In the last few months, I am down to 1-2 times a week. By the time my class time comes around (5-5:30pm), I am just exhausted. I have also experience round ligament pain in my belly when I am doing Zumba so I when I am in that class, I have to stop jumping around so much. I already did some research and found out that the nursery at the gym takes babies when they are 8 weeks old and I am looking forward to getting back into the gym full time. Its just such a huge part of my daily life. I am also excited about starting my running again.

Other fun facts:
My current cravings consist of oranges (I eat 2-3 at a time), walnuts and soft ice (like from Sonic and Chick-fil-a).

I love my nightly baths while reading US Weekly and Country Living. Bath bombs from Lush are a treat :)

I am started to get winded from simple things like walking up a flight of stairs.

Easter Day!

We had a such a nice Easter weekend. On Saturday, I took Sally to meet some friends at a local church's egg hunt. They also had a bunch of bounce houses so she had fun!!

On Saturday night we had friends over and before bed Sally decided she needed to leave some carrots, water and a jingle bell for the Easter Bunny.  We told her if she didn't go to bed, the Easter Bunny would hope right over her house. :)

I had so much fun gathering things for her basket this year. I set it out in the dining room with some free printable rabbit prints from Pinterest.

When we woke up (BRIGHT AND EARLY) on Easter, she came downstairs and literally screamed when she saw the bunny prints and her basket.

Here is what he left her :)

She was so excited about her chocolate bunny and giggled as she bit his ears off.

She also loved her new stuffed unicorn. She said "Oh my darling" and then named him Golden Harvest. She is so funny!

We had the table all ready for the Easter lunch we were hosting.

Sally had so much fun playing with her cousins. They even had an egg hunt!

I managed to get one family picture...30 weeks pregnant!!

Happy Easter!!

Sally {4 Years Old}

Sally,

You turned FOUR last month!  I can hardly believe it.  You are the sweetest outgoing little person I have ever met and people fall in love with you wherever we go. You are going to the best big sister!! You are already such a great helper!

Here's what's going on in your world at four years old!

Weight:

You are at 31.1 pounds.  My little petite girl :)

Height:

As of yesterday morning you were 38" tall.  You were so excited to finally be big enough to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Disney last month.

Clothing Size:

I think it's officially time to retire the 3t clothes.  Some of your size 2 Matilda Jane still fits but we are only buying size 4 for everything now. You are still in size 8 shoes but I have started buying size 9 for the summer.

Feeding:

Most of the time, its a battle getting you to eat when its meal time. You much prefer snacking over a full sit down meal. You are a very healthy eater!! You love fruits (especially berries), hummus and carrots, and all nuts. Your favorite foods are chick-fil-a nuggets, yogurt, ice cream, and pizza. You also ask for Chinese food now which makes mama happy :)

Hair/Eyes:

You have the most beautiful blue eyes! I'm still not sure where your blonde hair came from but it looks like its not going anywhere.

Sleep:

You have no interest in taking naps. Somedays that is really nice since we can keep going and I don't feel the need to rush home to keep you on schedule. Since being pregnant, I am missing those naps though.

Q&A :

What makes you happy? When you give me kisses.

What makes you sad? When a kid tells me they don't like me.

We made chocolate bunnies in a jar for her sweet teachers.
