Disney Girls Trip {Day 2}

Day 2 started bright and early. Being there for the "Good Morning" show is super magical and we knew we wanted to be there early enough to see it.

The girls were so ready!!! The adorable dresses are from Fleur L'enfant. I'll be honest and tell you that these were a special release but you can sometimes find them on the BST page. We got so many compliments on the dresses and it was fun to see the mamas who recognized the brand :)

And yes...we were those crazy mama's with the girls by ourselves. People said we were brave! They were right!!

My girl in her happy place!

Here is a part of the Good Morning show. If you go to the Magic Kingdom, please experience this at least once. It's just so magical and a great way to start your day!!

It was a super foggy day but we needed to stop and get a picture in front of the castle before the crowds took over. Taking a picture of these three was like herding cats. It was impossible to get them all to look and smile at the camera at the same time. We did our best :)

Here I am....pregnant at Disney!

We took the girls to meet Rapunzel and Cinderella.

Rode all our favorites in Fantasyland!

Me and Sally on Small World!

We had lunch at Be Our Guest so I had to get the chocolate cupcake. So Yummy!

After lunch we rode a few more of our favorites! Sally was soon excited that she was finally big enough to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train! Sadly, I wasn't able to ride since I am pregnant, so she rode with Aunt Meredith.

In the afternoon, we grabbed a spot for the Festival of Fantasy parade. It's amazing, not to be missed, and best enjoyed with a Mickey Mouse ice cream bar!

When in Rome...

I love watching Sally watch the parade. She was so sweet blowing kisses to all the princesses and characters.

For dinner, we headed over to the Contemporary Resort for dinner at Chef Mickeys. Its just classic Disney and the girls love it!

The food is pretty good for a buffet...lots of choices!! The best thing is that the characters come around and you know you will meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto without waiting in lines. Just make sure you have your camera and autograph book ready to go!

Day #1 in the parks was a success!! We had three tired little girls and three VERY tired mamas!!

Sally's Mermaid Party

When it came time to decide the theme for Sally's 4th birthday, I knew I had to look to one of her current obsessions....mermaids! She was so excited to have a mermaid themed party and I of course had so much planning a special party for her!

I decided to use hot pink and turquoise as the main colors. I just loved how everything came to together!

I ordered the invitation from this etsy shop and also coordinating printable thank you cards.

I wanted to make a sign to welcome guests into the party, so I had hubby create this wooden sign. I painted it and hot glued on a white pencil starfish.

I also ordered devil pitchforks from Oriental Trading and spray painted them gold to serve as Tridents for the King. I thought they
were a fun addition to the front door.

I had a friend use her silhouette machine to make me a glittery mermaid shirt. I ordered the aqua tutu off etsy and paired it with hot pink converse.

Here is the food table. I got the paper lanterns from target and attached ribbons onto them to make jellyfish that I could hang from the ceiling. The white frame came from Hobby Lobby and the mermaid cut out came from Michaels. I painted it aqua.

Sally's cake was so precious. It came form Brown Baguette Bakery in Southaven. I know its a trek down there but they are a yummiest cakes I have ever had!

The menu consisted of a fruit tray (mermaid medley), a veggie tray (seahorse snacks), chicken tenders from Abners (fried octopus tentacles), spinach dip (seaweed dip), ham and rolls to make sandwiches, and hot onion souffle with chips.

I also made "clam cookies". They are nilla wafers with pink frosting on the inside and a white pearl (sixlet candy). I placed them on a bed of sand (brown sugar!). Everything was yummy and we had plenty of food!

I also set out some dinglehoppers for guests to use :)

I draped the chandelier in the dining room in pearls (mardi gras beads). I also borrowed some silver candlesticks from a friend and put beads all over that and added some silver dinglehoppers into the candle holders. Another friend had a treasure chest so I filled it with more beads.

Favor tags came from this etsy shop.  Here is a picture of what they look like.

I picked up the aqua buckets from target. Inside I added starfish bracelets (ordered from Oriental Trading), chocolate gold coins (target), suckers, ice cream lip gloss (Target party section), and a small pouch that I picked up from Target clearance section.

I added framed printables and seashells on the mantle in the living room.

Printables from here, here, and here.

I set up the drink station with ice water and Ocean water punch.
Get the recipe here. I got the aqua striped straws from target and hot glued glittery pink seahorses (cut with silhouette machine) onto each one.

I also set up a station where the girls could decorate their own treasure chest. I ordered them from Oriental Trading and also set out paint, brushes, glitter glue and jewels. It was messy but fun!

Sally was the sweetest little hostess. She greeted everyone at the door and thanks them for coming to her party. The girls spent a lot of time swinging and playing in the playhouse out back so I was thankful for decent weather.

Her favorite part was of course opening gifts and blowing out the candles!!

Happy Birthday Sweet Mermaid!!

Surprise Disney Girls Trip {Day 1}

Oh this was so hard to keep a secret. We had been planning this trip for several months (before I knew I was pregnant). Long story, I have two cousins that are my same age and we all have little girls that are all close in age too. We thought that it would be so fun to take them to Disney...just girls! We wanted it to be cheap so we decided to stay at Pop Century in two rooms. We got the dining plan and 5 day tickets and the price was awesome!

We each made up a story the morning of the trip on why we needed to go to the airport. I had been telling Sally for a few days that daddy had a business trip and we had to take him to the airport. Here she is in the back seat...no clue :)

Pulling into the airport!!

After we walked in, the other cousins came in too. They were all wearing the same shirt The crazy thing? They were still clueless. Here is a video of them opening their magic bands.

Sally was so super excited! They couldn't believe we were going to Disney right now!!

Mommy and Sally

On the plane to Orlando!

We took Magical Express with no problem to Pop Century, got settled into the room and ate lunch in the food court. I ended up changing Sally's clothes because the Florida sun was hot!

For dessert she enjoyed the cup of dirt!

We also had to try on a hat in the hotel gift shop.
Sally's adorable shirt is from Cotton Belle Boutique on etsy.

The girls were so excited to be at the park!! We chose Hollywood Studios since we only had the afternoon and early evening to spend in the parks on the first day.

We rode Toy Story Midway Mania and Great Movie Ride, did the Frozen sing a long, and met several Disney Jr. characters.

 Sofia!

Doc McStuffins!

Jake!

Cousin hugs!!

Sally also stopped to dance with Pluto! Got to love those moves!

We need up taking a bus to Art of Animation and trying the food court over there for dinner. Then it was early to bed...we had a big day planned for Day #2...Magic Kingdom!!
