Surprise Disney Girls Trip {Day 1}

Oh this was so hard to keep a secret. We had been planning this trip for several months (before I knew I was pregnant). Long story, I have two cousins that are my same age and we all have little girls that are all close in age too. We thought that it would be so fun to take them to Disney...just girls! We wanted it to be cheap so we decided to stay at Pop Century in two rooms. We got the dining plan and 5 day tickets and the price was awesome!

We each made up a story the morning of the trip on why we needed to go to the airport. I had been telling Sally for a few days that daddy had a business trip and we had to take him to the airport. Here she is in the back seat...no clue :)

Pulling into the airport!!

After we walked in, the other cousins came in too. They were all wearing the same shirt The crazy thing? They were still clueless. Here is a video of them opening their magic bands.

Sally was so super excited! They couldn't believe we were going to Disney right now!!

Mommy and Sally

On the plane to Orlando!

We took Magical Express with no problem to Pop Century, got settled into the room and ate lunch in the food court. I ended up changing Sally's clothes because the Florida sun was hot!

For dessert she enjoyed the cup of dirt!

We also had to try on a hat in the hotel gift shop.
Sally's adorable shirt is from Cotton Belle Boutique on etsy.

The girls were so excited to be at the park!! We chose Hollywood Studios since we only had the afternoon and early evening to spend in the parks on the first day.

We rode Toy Story Midway Mania and Great Movie Ride, did the Frozen sing a long, and met several Disney Jr. characters.

 Sofia!

Doc McStuffins!

Jake!

Cousin hugs!!

Sally also stopped to dance with Pluto! Got to love those moves!

We need up taking a bus to Art of Animation and trying the food court over there for dinner. Then it was early to bed...we had a big day planned for Day #2...Magic Kingdom!!

Sally's 4th Birthday

Sally had been counting down the days until she turned 4. I had been dreading them. Although I love seeing my sweet girl grow up healthy, its hard to see her getting bigger.

No birthday breakfast is complete without doughnuts. I woke up early to get the best in Memphis...Gibsons!

I put up the birthday banner (Target $1 spot) and My Little Pont napkins :)

I ordered some My Little Pony balloons from etsy and had them filled with helium. I also set out her birthday presents on the table. She was so excited when she woke up and came down stairs. She absolutely loved the balloons and squealed when she saw the turquoise gumball machine.

I sang Happy Birthday to her and she blew out the candles on her doughnut.

She had a Valentines Party at school that day so she was dressed and ready to go. We celebrated her birthday at school earlier in the week with My Little Pony cupcakes.

After school, she opened her presents from Mommy and Daddy. She got Ariel and her sisters (mermaids for the bathtub and pool) and Mary Ellen (American Girl doll). My dad gave her a few different outfits for Mary Ellen including pajamas and a poodle skirt.

I told Sally she could pick to go out to eat anywhere she wanted and she chose Chinese food :) I ordered the most perfect pink cake with sprinkles from Brown Baguette Bakery. It was so yummy!

I got the neatest candle for her off Amazon. It was supposed to sing Happy Birthday too but I think that part was broken.
She still loved it!!

Happy Birthday Sweet Sally!!

Valentines Day

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day. I'm not a huge Valentine person. I feel like you should show love everyday...not just on a certain day. That being said, I still like a chance to celebrate.

Sally had her Valentine party at school on her birthday.

We made little candy jars for her teachers.

These were the Valentines that she passed out to her classmates. I think they turned out so cute. When we got home that day, she was so excited to look through her "mailbox" and see all the treats and cards that her friends had left for her.

\

The night before Valentine's day, we were supposed to have a date night. We had childcare set up and everything. She had complained all day of a tummy ache so we ended up staying in and ordering pizza.

That night, she got sick and threw up in our bed...good times!! She still wasn't feeling herself on Valentines day, so we took it easy and I had to cancel the cute breakfast I had planned.

I did give her some small gifts....My Little Pony headphones and Electric toothbrush, a cute card, a new pony and small box of chocolates.

This is the card I made for Joe...inspired by the Walking Dead. The inside said "we turn together".

I got Joe a smoothie maker :) He got me a vintage Beatles album...love it!!

We pretty much took it easy all day and put Sally too bed early. Joe picked up Chinese take out, we watched Walking Dead (which was amazing!!), and ate a salted caramel chocolate square from Epcot. Perfection!!

Speaking of Walking Dead...CRAZY!! Probably the best episode ever!!

Recent Happenings {20 weeks pregnant, nursery progress, etc}

{one}
We are finally making some progress in the baby room. I had to move all my craft room stuff into the guest room closest.

I always thought I wanted a vintage maps and globes room but then I discovered the vintage camping theme and fell in love. I made this inspiration board. I already got the dresser, vintage globe bank, pillow cover and some of the art.

Here I am...20 weeks pregnant! We are halfway there!!

It's so very un-Southern of me, but I just cannot do smocking on boys. I think we will do some seersucker but for the most part go towards the hipster look. I ordered these off eBay this week :)

{two}
I have been wanting a vintage grocery sign for the kitchen for some time. When I saw this one as "deal of the day" on Decor Steals, I had to get it! If you haven't signed up for their daily deal email go here and sign up! They always have the cutest stuff!

{three}
We made a trip to Minnesota to visit Joe's family after Christmas. It was FREEZING!! Sally got to ice skate and sled and had the best time!

{four}
My bestie, had her sweet baby girl while we were out of town so we went this week to visit her. Sally was so sweet holding the baby!

Since I'm from out of town it was hard to bring her a meal. I decided to make her a basket. I filled it some of her favorite snacks, cozy socks, lip balm, face wash, hair bows for the baby and magazines/books.

My blogging here has been neglected. Life has been crazy but I've also been blogging over at Memphis Moms Blog :)

Check it out here!

Hubby is officially a FedEx cargo pilot. We had his winging ceremony last week and to say I am proud is an understatement. He has worked so hard to get here and this is going to be huge for our family.
