Summer Adventures: Week 3

Last week we were busy busy busy! Sally had swim lessons everyday and finished on Friday with flying colors. I bought her an Ariel towel as a prize for being such a big girl.

We did the local doughnut shop on Friday for National Doughnut Day. It was perfect since we studied letter Dd this week.

Some friends recently moved and the previous owners left behind a fish. We saved it from a death at sea. We are now the proud owners of a beta fish that Sally has named Arista (one of Ariels sisters). She also had to have a few lessons on feeding after she woke Joe up in the morning saying "I fed Arista!". She had climbed up and gotten the food and yes...you guessed it...fed Arista WAY too much food. The food is now way out of reach for her.

We also had a "wedding". Sally walked into our room with a blanket on her head and wanted my gold sparkle shoes. She then said she was going to marry Daddy. So they exchanged rings and kissed and then we headed off to Las Delicious for a celebratory dinner. It was too cute!

We made our car kit full of summer essentials.

Sally and her first trip to Sonic!

This week we are taking it easy....gymnastics classes, story time, pool time and Mommy and Daddy are going out of town. We are studying letter Ee and Ff :) I will return to my regularly scheduled days next Monday!

Recent Happenings

Throughout our many home improvements, somehow our backyard always gets the short end of the stick. Its a weird shape with concrete in strange places but somehow this year it actually looks pretty cute. Im giving all the credit to our new chairs, umbrella and throw pillows from "World Market", Costco and Pottery Barn Outlet.

Here is the playhouse. It now had shutters, a screen door, window boxes filled with flowers and an address. 390 was the address from our first house :) We need one more coat of paint inside and it will be DONE! I will be doing a full tour then.

Sally has been going to gymnastics twice a week. She started out as the crazy girl running around the room but a few weeks in and I love seeing the progress she has made. She loves wearing her "gymnastics clothes"!

We have watched several movies lately so I wanted to share.

Intersteller...at Redbox. Its long but very good!!

Woman in Black 2 (also at Redbox). This was very scary!

The new Poltergeist. We saw it in the theaters and I will saw I was a little disappointed. I knew it wouldn't be as good as the original but there were too many little jokes. I just didn't like it.

I am so excited to be the craft coordinator again for MOPS. I got my membership packet in the mail last week. I love the colors and theme!

I hosted a sip and see at my house last weekend. Luckily I was able to use a lot of the stuff that I used for my sister-in-laws baby shower.

Mothers Day 2015

We celebrated Mothers Day in May I realized I lever his "post" so here you go.

We started the day by sleeping in and then making breakfast. Then we took a 2.5 mile walk over to my dads so Joe could help him fix something on the lawn mower. Of course Poppy has treats at his house. Today is was an ice cream cone.

Sally made me the sweetest card with the help of Daddy and I also got the cutest dragonfly necklace.

For dinner we headed over to Belly Acres. Its our new favorite family place.

Sally loves sitting on the tractor.

Me and my sweet girl...so thankful to be her mommy.

After dinner, Joe and Sally "played" corn hole.

That pretty much consisted of Sally laying all over the board.

When we got home there may have been a princess dance party.

Of course I was missing my sweet mommy today. I miss her everyday but days like this are the hardest.

Im also thankful for Sally's godmothers. :)

Five On Friday

{one}
Our 9th anniversary is next week and we are heading to Atlanta for a kid free weekend. Can you believe it will be the first trip we have taken together...without Sally.

And....because nothing says "LOVE" like flesh eating Zombies, we will be doing two Walking Dead tours. We are HUGE fans of the show and I cannot wait to see all the filming locations!!

{two}
As many of you know, I am a Disney planner for my day job (along with being a fabulous stay at home Mommy!!). I found out this week that I was one of the very few agents to get chosen to attend an on-site agent education program. That means I get to go to Disney in July. My days will be filled touring resorts, cruise ships and attending special events. Nights will be spent hanging out at the parks with other agents who love Disney just as much as me! I have hooked up with two other agents and we have decided to extend our stay for two nights so we can really have fun. We are even staying in a suite at the Polynesian. I am SOOOOO excited!!!

My hubby bought an airplane with his business partners. Although it would be nice to use it for pleasure. Its actually for a new business. They have started an on demand air taxi service. It will be operating out of a few different cities. I'm so proud of him!!

There is an amazing sale going on right now at Magazines.com. I found several magazines for just $5 for a year!! I snagged Instyle, Southern Living and Cooking Light. I am a magazine junkie so I was pretty excited.

But wait....do you use EBATES? If you don't you need to sign up and start using it. I made over $200 just last year.

Just go here and sign up. You get a bonus just for signing up. The every time you shop online, go to debates first and search for the store. If your store is available then they will provide a link for you to shop through and you start earning money. Right now, Magazines.com is paying 40% back...yes 40!! So I spent $16.50 on my magazines and I will get back $8.25! Its a crazy deal!!

I had some family drama this week that I didn't expect. I have decided that life is just too short for people that don't make me happy :) No time for all that. I feel free!

{BONUS}
I know y'all love a deal as much as me. Did you know Wal-Mart has medium sized bows for girls for only $1? Yup, there is a whole display in the middle of the kid clothing section. They are great!!
