The Ultimate Wedding Week: All the Details

Today is the last day of the wedding link up. It has been so much fun to relive one of the best days of my life.
So without further ado, here are some of the details of my special day!

Here is the bridal party. The bridesmaids dresses came from netbride.com and the tux's came from Guy's Tux's (here in Memphis). Joe bought his tux from Joseph A. Banks.

Joe's groomsmen all wore colorful or mismatched socks....cause that's what Joe always does. Joe's pink and green striped tie was from J Crew and the lime green ties were ordered off the internet (can't remember where).
Joe and his grandpa showing their crazy socks.

We got the girls lime green parasols from Hobby Lobby.

I decided to wear flats so that I would not be taller than Joe and so that I could dance the night away. These came from DSW.
I had all the girls sign their names to bottom.

Now for the flowers....these were the Mother and Mother-In-Law's bouquets.

I absolutely LOVED my bouquet. It was so bright and fun!

Since Joe and I love dragonflies to much, I pinned this brooch onto it.
Here is my dress....I picked it out at a local store here in Memphis but ordered it from Netbride.com...saved over $700!! It's a Watters & Watters.

Here is my something blue (Garter that Joe's mom made) and a old handkerchief that belonged to my grandmother.

My cousins and I...I loved having my family there!
We had a super fun guestbook. I had a station set up where people could put on hats, feather boas, etc. Then they signed the book next to their picture. I know this is a super popular thing to do now...but this was 6 years ago...everything thought it was really neat!

Here are the centerpieces for the tables. I got the buckets at Dollar Tree and we grew the wheat grass ourselves. We alternated between adding Gerber Daisies and dragonflies.

We also incorporated a lot of fruit...mostly limes into the bigger arrangements on the food tables and bar area.
Here is our cake. It was almond flavored with layers of raspberries and strawberries....so yummy!

We didn't do fancy favors....just some candy as you left. The basket that you see is full of colorful streamers that people threw as we left the reception.

Thank you!!

Crawfish Festival

On Saturday, Joe and I attended a crawfish festival in downtown Memphis. This was Sally's first festival!

Our sweet friends, the Greens, who invited us.

There little one was so interested in the music. I thought he may go all the way up and join the band :)

The festival was held in Court Square.

Miss Sally slept the WHOLE TIME!

Sally-Seven Weeks Old

I went for my 6 week check up this week...everything looked great. Joe was out of town for work Monday-Thursday so it was just Sally and me. We had a lot of girl time and she did great, but I sure missed having Joe around to help me with everything!

Loves: Eating, snuggling with Mommy and Daddy, lights, being outside...looking at the trees and hearing the birds, getting her diaper changed, bath time, TV, when Mommy and Daddy sing silly songs.

Eating: This girl loves her food and its shows...she is getting bigger everyday! She is on all formula again. The breast pump has been packed away. I just wasn't getting enough milk. We will try the whole "breastfeeding thing" again with the next baby.

Sleeping: Pretty good! She normally gets up around 1-2 am and then again around 5-6. All she wants is to be changed and to eat and then she goes right back to sleep.

Clothes: Some newborn and some 0-3...yay!

Diapers: Still newborns...although we may be moving up to size 1 soon!

Fun Facts: She is making so many new noises and smiling a lot more...I love it!

Mommy Moments: I took care of Sally by myself for four days this week while Joe was out of town.

Firsts: Sally went to her first festival (crawfish!), she wore her first "bubble" outfit, sat in the Bumbo for the first time. Sally has some dry, flaky skin on her head. We also have had our first bout of the dreaded baby acne. I know it will go away but it just KILLS me to look at her perfect face covered in red bumps! We have been spending some time outside so I'm wondering if she has some sort of heat rash.

Sally at her speech study...hence the strange looking vest she is wearing.
