32 Weeks

*How far along?: 32 weeks and 4 days....how can I possibly be eight months pregnant!!?? This is going by so fast!
*How big is your baby?: still a head of lettuce this week...getting closer to 4lbs!
*Total weight gain?: 25 pounds
*Sex: GIRL!!! Sally O'Mally!!
*Maternity clothes: yup.....they are pretty comfy though.
*Stretch marks: I still do not have any...knock on wood. I know that my belly is going to continue to grow this last month though...so I am still in danger of them.
*Sleep: Not so great....I am super tired during the day but resist taking a nap. Then when I get in the bed at night it is hard for me to fall asleep. I am still suffering from "restless arm syndrome" almost every night. I heard that I need to stick a bar of Ivory soap at the bottom of my bed...apparently this is a cure...has anyone ever tried this? Does it work?
*Best moment this week: I got my bedding in!! Joe painted the side table and I put the lamp and a picture frame on it. The room is really coming together.
*Food cravings: veggies with ranch dip, tangerines, pizza
*Labor signs: not yet...I think I have started having some Braxton Hicks contractions....not sure though.
Belly button in or out: Still in...but barely
*What I miss: sleeping on my belly!!
*What I'm looking forward to: getting our house back in order after the holidays, having a week off work, showers the first week in January.

2011...A Year in Review

I cannot believe that this year has gone by so quickly. 2011 has definitely been a year with its ups and downs for me as well as a lot of my friends. I know that 2012 is going to bring a lot of changes our way with babies, new relationships, etc. So I am praying that 2012 will be a SUPER FABULOUS YEAR for everyone!! I am going to list the highlights of 2011......the top 11 of 2011 if you will.

1. We rang in the New Year from a pimped out cabin in Gatlinburg, TN with good friends.
2. In February, I took Joe on a surprise birthday trip to New Orleans, LA.
3. We fostered 2 sweet puppies. Seriously....one of the best things I have ever done. Once I have this mom thing down, I hope to do it again.

4. In March, we traveled to Nashville to MJ and Allie's wedding.

5. We flew to Lambert's to eat dinner!!

6. In June, we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary with a trip to Mexico. Little did I know...I was pregnant!

7. In July, we welcomed Baby Brody into the world!

8. In September, I turned the big 3-0 and we celebrated with a trip to Destin. The weather didn't cooperate, but we still had fun.

9. In October, I joined Kristy and Beth for ZTA's 50th Anniversary Gala. We also went to some homecoming activities....good times.

10. In November, all the girls got together for Girls Weekend at Beth's in Jackson, TN.
11. In December, Joe did the full marathon and I did the 1/2....all while 7 months pregnant! Go me!

Let's Get Baking!

I have been a baking princess the last few days. Here is what I made for neighbors/Christmas Eve/Christmas Day. I really had plans to make more but have been extra tired and busy the last week....plus I have the most important thing baking in my belly right now...Baby Sally. I hope everybody enjoys what I made. I know Joe and I have :)

(I use pecans instead of walnuts)

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Brownies (seriously the best brownies that I have ever had...they will melt your face off!)

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas from our little family to yours. I hope everyone has a very relaxing and joyful day with family and friends. Don't forget the reason for the season...Little Baby Jesus!!

Fill In The Blank Friday

1. The best way to spread Christmas cheer is obviously by "singing loud for all to hear" :) .

2. The thing I love most about Christmas is just getting to relax and bake and spend time with the ones I love. Everything seems cozy and warm .

3. The holiday season is a time for helping others, giving, being with friends and family, and remembering the reason for the season...Jesus.

4. My favorite thing to eat at the holidays is all desserts!

5. I will be spending Christmas with my family. This is my favorite time of the year!

6. Tis better to (give or receive?) give. I love seeing peoples faces when they open their gifts that I have selected for them .

7. I'm dreaming of a joyful, relaxing Christmas.
