Sally is 2 years and 2 months old today. I feel like I could write a whole book about all the fun things I want to remember about her at this age. Here are a few :)
I would say this is the most difficult age so far...but FAR AWAY from the "terrible twos" that everyone always talks about. They may still be coming.
She loves books and reading. I think she would do it all day. It has been so much for for me to read some of my favorite books to her. She also loves nursery rhymes. I love saying part of them and then letting her finish them. Its so cute! She is also doing really well with her letters, colors and counting. She is a wiz at puzzles!!
She loves all animals and the noises they make. She also loves to see real live animals...anything from my dad's little dog, a walk to visit the horses in our neighborhood or a trip to the zoo...she LOVES it all.
She loves being outdoors in all things involving nature...rocks, sticks, flowers, bugs....I hope she is never scared of these things and continues to appreciate all of God's creatures.
She loves to help mommy...whether its making cookies, sweeping the floor, watering the plants. Let's hope this eagerness to help stays put. I can't wait until she is able to do real chores.
She gives the sweetest hugs and kisses (usually wet!). My heart melts when she squeezes my neck...seriously...one of the best feelings ever!
She loves her paci and will ask for it if she needs it. I really have been trying to limit it, but lets face it...sometimes this girl just needs her paci! She also loves her princess castle, sunglasses, her play kitchen and Yo Gabba Gabba. She is also really loving Little Einsteins right now...she will say "einstiens" and that means she wants to watch it.
She has officially climbed out of her crib. Until I can find a bed that I like, we have taken the front off her crib. Getting her to sleep is a pain. She really wants you to stay until she is fast asleep. If you try to escape too early she will pat the pillow to tell you its time to lay back down.
She is super outgoing and friendly. I swear this girl has never met a stranger. When someone new comes over, she usually takes their hand and starts showing them all around our house. I love that she is not timid around people and I pray that she continues to be friendly to everyone she meets.
She is a little song bird. Her favorite to sing right now are Twinkle Twinkle and Row Your Boat. Her singing is probably my most favorite sound in the world!
