Sally-3 Months

 Dear Sally,

You are 3 months old! Seriously...how is that even possible?! In some ways, it seems like you have been with us forever. I guess I just cannot imagine life without you now. You have far outgrown the "newborn" look and are starting to look like a baby with chubby cheeks and thighs. You already have such a great personality....I can see both Mommy and Daddy in you :) You love to "talk" and I think your voice is the sweetest sound I have ever heard. It truly makes my eyes tear up sometimes...I just love you so much! When you wake up, you have the biggest smile on your face when you see Mommy and Daddy. Mommy has to go back to work next week...but it will be summer vacation in 2 weeks and we are going to have so much fun!

You have really been growing so fast! Slow down baby girl! Your sweet little face is really starting to fill out and are getting some rolls on your little thighs. Mommy calls you "Chunky Monkey". You are still wearing Size 1 diapers and 0-3 month clothes...some 3 month but they are a little big. 

Your 3 Month Stats:
Weight: 10 pounds 2 ounces


Your hair is medium brown and you have the most beautiful blue eyes!

This month:
You have been smiling all the time...such a happy baby! Daddy and I probably look so silly trying to make you smile. Whenever we say, "I Love You" or "Pretty...Girl....." you give us the biggest smile that melts my heart...sometime it even makes my eyes tear up. It's seriously the cutest thing ever! You have been getting super chatty too. You will coo and laugh out loud...sweetest sound in the world. When I get your out of the pack-in-play (yes you are still sleeping in the room with us!) you give me the biggest smile. I sing you a song and you love that.

You have really started to notice your hands. You constantly have them in your mouth...sucking and drooling all over them. I usually try to replace them with a paci....you can't take away hands but you can take away a paci. You love to hold a blanket, lovie or your dresses. You have started grabbing Mommy's hair....you are so strong! If you are getting fussy, I will bring you to a mirror so you can see yourself. You always smile so big when you see yourself. You especially love to stand on the buffet in the dining room and look in the mirror. 

You are so strong and are holding your head up like a champ! You can also prop yourself up on your elbows for a little while. You love to "stand up" while Mommy and Daddy hold your hands. I wouldn't be surprised if you started walking before your first birthday!

You LOVE taking baths. You are so happy at bath time! Daddy says "splashy, splashy" and you do the cutest little dance with your legs in the water while smiling...so cute!!

You are such a happy baby. Everyone is always commenting on how relaxed and chill you are. You hardly ever cry unless you are hungry or super tired. You love meeting new people and always give them one of those heart melting smiles!

You are still eating 4-5 oz. every 2 -3 hours. You take a few cat naps in the morning and a longer afternoon nap. You go to bed between 8:30 and 10:00 and you sleep until 4:30 or 6:00 in the morning. You are still sleeping in the Pack ‘N Play in our room and probably will for a few more weeks until Mommy is home for summer vacation. 

You love TV. Especially Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I may have had a hand in deciding what you would like. Hey, I've got to make sure I have a Disney girl on my hand! I think all of the bright colors catch your attention.

You went to the Farmer's Market for the first time and loved it....you love going out and about anywhere really...which is lucky for us since we are always on the go.

Your grandfather, Clarence, came down to visit from Minnesota. He could not wait to meet you and is pretty much obsessed with you now...of course!
